Yeah look, the more you micro analyse it the more plot holes and faults you can find. It’s been that way since season 6(?) when the books finished and they’ve been “winging it”. For me though, that doesn’t detract from the piece as a whole. It’s still some of the most fantastic stuff I have seen on my tv screen.

It's fantasy fiction so there is some level of disbelief that has to be suspended. But then some stuff should still make some level of sense.

not long to go now...I'm waiting for today's episode
my daughter was reading some comments by the actresses who play Arya and Sansa where they said that the ending will please some people... but most won't be happy with it

I remember might be two or three years back that the author and producers said the ending will be bittersweet.

That was heartbreaking watching Rhaegal go but did you see next weeks preview? I wonder if there are more Dragons, it might be a reach but the look on Euron's face as he looks up is either Drogon coming down on him for the chomp which would be good end to Euron or more Dragons as it did sound like more than one in that clip and there were more fossilised eggs on Dragonstone so who knows.
Lots of fan theories on the fan pages many saying they think Daenerys is going to go mad.
Jon should never have told Sansa like she was going to keep that secret, that girl has her own agenda.

and maybe those Dragons had been off at times doing the wild thing and laid more eggs many possibilities.

Yes I remember they were a wedding gift to her and Drogo. There are so many theories on Dragons out there and one I read a long time back was that there is one big badass Dragon frozen in the wall. I am wondering if we take that picture on the Astrolabe in the opening credits literally and there are 4 Dragons, 3 small one's and one big one but also the Astrolabe depicts the Red Wedding who knows if it is what it is meaning but would be awesome if it's a big MOFO of a Dragon that chomps Euron, I think that would be a fitting end for him being devoured by a Dragon.

You kind of have to wonder as most of those are always picked up in the editing process.

If Jon is a Targarian does that mean he is not in fact related by blood to the Starks? If so, then my prediction for a 'bitterseet' ending is that Dani will be killed and Jon will marry either Arya or Sansa - probably Arya.

Yes he's a legitimate Targaryen Penny, that isn't in the books yet as he's still holding off on Winds of Winter, if I'm remembering correctly you've read the books? his mother was Lyanna Stark so he is related to the Starks through her as it was always hinted in the books R+L=J and they confirmed that Rhaegar married Lyanna so it made Jon a legitimate Targ and a threat to Dani's claim to the Iron Throne. I've not read the books but those who I know who have, have eluded it was implied he'd end up with Arya and it's GoT so anything is possible.
I think the bittersweet ending is whoever ends up on that Throne when it's all done and said, it will come at one hell of a price.

I read the fist couple of books, Ivy, but I found them so gratuitously violent and most of the characters so unlikeable I didn't persevere. I'm just following this last series (sort of) by reading the spoilers and summaries posted on Facebook.

If so, then my prediction for a 'bitterseet' ending is that Dani will be killed and Jon will marry either Arya or Sansa - probably Arya. so he's a Stark and a Targeryan which makes him the rightful king of the 7 kingdoms ( and Daenery's is his aunt)

I've never read them but have thought about it but I'd rather wait until he completes the last one which I have a suspicion he has but he's waiting for the series to finish before it's released. I think if he released the book before the show finished it might ruin the end for some people if they knew how it ends.
There are a lot of fans complaining on the various fan pages about this season but to be fair the last season with any book to back it was season 5 all subsequent seasons have had to stand on their own even though GRR Martin hasn't written any scripts since then he still consults on it and is still listed as a EP so has input into it.

I hate the chick flick parts of the show. I mean really hate. The emotional treacle and romantic angst gets kinda thick. Missandei and Greyworm was perhaps the worst of it all. Every damn time they were on the screen together my blood sugar exploded it was so goddamn sappy and sticky. It might sound perverse but I cheered when Missandei bought it.
But this story is not above the cheap trick of reviving the dead.

Ok, so you don’t like the emotional parts and you don’t like the way they do battle scenes. Why do you bother watching?

Of course George R R Martin was not above resurrecting Catelyn Stark as Lady Stoneheart, so that’s not just a tv series thing either.

Geez Dave you sound worse than my daughter she's the same it's "OMG they're going to kiss, they're going to have sex why can't they just have more stabby stabby killing going on dam it" Alas it's GoT have to have all of it, might get a bit boring if they don't throw in a love story here or there.

Its generally a great show. And I have read all the books except the last installment which the fat ass author might never finish. lazy fuck. From what I can remember the books didn't have all the goddamn romance and emotional angst the tv shows do. But they do it for the female audience I guess. That's the chick flick shit I hate. +

If Jon is a Targarian does that mean he is not in fact related by blood to the Starks? If so, then my prediction for a 'bittersweet' ending is that Dani will be killed and Jon will marry either Arya or Sansa - probably Arya. Or, alternatively, maybe Jon gets killed and Dani and Arya ride off into the sunset together on the last remaining dragon, leaving Sansa on the Iron throne.
