Well not long now. It will be interesting to watch how it all ends. I am wondering if it will just get down to a vote of all things by the movers and shakers that are left which well I think has happened before in history as to who is entitled to a throne.

That’s my prediction ivy (even though not a single one had been correct yet 😄) I think there will be no more Iron Throne or 7 Kingdoms. Quite how we’ll get there I’m not sure

I just wonder how many of the notes Varys wrote actually made it out if at all.

That's why I wonder if it will just be a vote to do away with it in the end given how much drama it has caused. Well we will know shortly.

Well don't think Dave will be happy with that.
Sad it's over though, but can rewatch it over and over as it's always good even this season inspite of some fans not liking it, it went out well IMO but some may not like it. Like I said wasn't ever going to be a Disney ending.

Well, I got the bit about there being no more Iron Throne right. Drogon saw to that 🔥 🐉 And no more 7 kingdoms - it’s the 6 kingdoms now. I quite like how it all tied up in the end. Almost everyone ended up where they wanted to be.
The one thing that did bother me though was how we got from Drogon carrying Daenerys off, to suddenly everyone sitting around in council. I think The Unsullied and Dothraki were a bit too riled up for them to just go ok, you guys can come in now and sort all this out.
With hindsight we should have twigged when Isaac Hempstead Wright did the intro.

I thought the ending wasn't too bad.. it all made sense... that scene you mentioned Kay ( and a few others , did seem sort of rushed) thet were told they could do 10 episodes, but the writers wanted to finish it off early
I think the complaints from people about the ending are more about the end of the series... we would all like it to be continued
I saw this on twitter today
"A reminder: HBO's "Thrones" prequel series will start filming this summer.. ""
But it will be scripted by different writers

I loved that Drogon melted the Throne it was as if he was saying this thing is the root of all the problems that ultimately led to all the wars/deaths and in the end his mumma's death so get rid of it.
Did you see Bran's slight smile when they asked where Drogon was and he said he could find him, maybe he has some small control of the Dragon afteral as he never hurt Jon but that could've been his connection to Dany and him being Targaryen, who knows.

I have one friend who has watched GoT but she hasn't watched any of season 8 yet so we aren't talking about it yet, we will in time when she gets around to watching it. I just read that they reckon Bran Stark will be the new King after Jon kills Daenerys and he refuses the throne and goes back north, that would be funny but maybe that is the bittersweet who knows, maybe they'll split them back up into seven kingdoms and there will be no Iron Throne. Whichever way it ends will still enjoy it. I gotta say you nailed that one. Pretty much all of it. Jon killing his love and Bran. I was skeptical of the former, entirely skeptical of the latter. Until I saw them all sitting there, including Bran, and Tyrion came up with his "democratic" approach. Then I'm sitting there and saying damn if you weren't right. Not sure how you plucked that random plot twist, but gotta say that it makes a lot of sense after it's done. If he can climb down from the clowds in his head he might be ok. And I've heard it said that they never put anything in the plot for no reason, which accounts for him being carted around everywhere even when it was clear he was doing absolutely nothing but star gazing for the entire season. And he said something like "Why do you think I came?" or something like that. Him being able to "see" things, will serve him in good stead as king. Kinda mostly watched last nite, will rewatch maybe tonite. My thoughts are they rushed and patched this last season together and last nite was no exception. Would've been good to've had a forward flash after a few years to see how things went, but it was what it was. By that time he perhaps would have spoken a whole 25 words or so. He put the brev in brevity, to say the least.
Think I've heard of some kind of a spin off of the story that might revisit the characters. Or might not. Guess we'll see. The current writers are moving on to other projects so it perhaps won't be as good writing. Not that there weren't problems with the plots and stories in the original.
***actually remember him saying though that he had no interest in being Lord of Winterfell. Either that's another glaring hole or some misdirection in that he had his mind's eye set on something bigger. As it turns out it was bigger.
***And actually again after thinking about it Bran wasn't as bad as I made him out to be. He was into matters. He was sitting up front in most of the major councils of this season. Despite him having the "don't care about anything" demeanor. He could have been perfectly happy in his bedroom dreaming of everything and having his meals delivered to him but he was in on the councils. Didn't have much to say though, but again they kind of showed us the end play while also misdirecting.

I can't take credit for it Dave it was something I read on one of the Facebook fan pages at the time that I thought was an interesting twist, there were so many different theories on the end that just happened to be one of them, there were so many different one's on what it would've ultimately turned out to be but it was bittersweet as the author intended.
I would go with misdirection on Bran not wanting to be Lord of Winterfell. I agree it would've been great if they had done some sort of flash forward to some time in the future to see how it all went from there or maybe an elderly Bran or Samwell Tarly telling the story of the Iron Throne to the younger generation.

I admit to a couple of leaky eye moments in the episode, the one when Drogon carried off Daenerys body it was heartbreaking for the Dragon to lose his mumma and when Jon was reunited with Ghost, it now made sense that look he gave him in episode 4 it was I will see you soon rather than a goodbye.

There is a video on this Twitter page where someone has taken the ending and put what's happened to them afterwards, John Hughes style. Sorry couldn't find it on youtube as it may not be on there yet but you can watch on the Twitter link. twitter.com/hashtag/GameOfThronesFinale?src=hash

Just rewatched. Slept through a bit of the middle. The end was interesting I guess. Telling us the three of them got their final heart's desire in the end.
