I got a letter from my shrink today, letting me know that she will be retiring in April. She has been my lifeline for the last 12 years or so and I will miss her expertise and care.

how totally devastating.. they didn't find anything but animal bones in the dig for the Beaumonts. Everyone was so sure the children would be there... when they say they've called off the dig... I hope they only mean for the night. such disappointing news

How disappointing. it doesn't sound as though there will be further excavation.
“I can confirm that we have searched the areas of interest and reached the bottom of those areas and gone well below so that we can be 100% certain,” Bray told reporters gathered at ther site . “I can confirm we have found bones of various animals, but there has been nothing human located on the site.
“Sadly this means for the Beaumont family that we still have no answers. But we will always do anything humanly possible to locate the Beaumont children and take them home to their family.”

I used the first mask with padding underneath to protect my skin. I slept in until 10.30am and only had 4 apnoeas [5 and under is considered normal.].
I wonder if they ever will find the Beaumont children. I was so hopeful this time.

Great news re the sleep apnoes (or lack thereof) It is going to make a huge difference to your overall health and wellbeing.
I was really disappointed too that the dig didn't turn up anything significant. I suspect we will never know what really happened.

Work just texted me that it's a nightmare down there. Why would they do that? I would have found out when I got there. Now I dread going.😩

Hopefully, things will settle down before you get there, Dawn. What has turned it into a nightmare?

Feel better lyn!
Work sitch was so silly. The boxes had "20 units" written on the outside. In reality, there were "30 units" per box.
Ok. Cross out 20 and mark it 30.
But but but... this customer gets 100 units. If I give them 5 boxes as written in the work order, they will have 150 units.
Ok. Cross out the box number on the work order. Give them 3 boxes (90) and 10 individual units.
I can't believe people were traumatized and considered this a catastrophe. Much ado about nothing.
It's not that I'm super smart... I just work with some silly people.

I got the text that the boxes were all wrong before I got there, so I knew to check. I usually do check, though, in case no one else has caught the error.
It happens. Just put one wrong number into the computer and you've got thousands of mismarked boxes. Lucky for me I don't enter numbers, I just count and distribute. Less likely for me to make a mistake. (OCD means I triple count). But I have made mistakes. Like confusing who the shipment goes to. Then when I discover the error I wonder how I confused it. I've often said, I swear I'm sober... I must need glasses.

I do think I have a little OCD too Dawn. I managed to pick up the one day Scandi desk at Aldi today. The last one because the woman that asked them to put it aside didn't come back within a couple of hours so they put it in the storeroom.
It only took me four hours to put it together but I was multi tasking. If I didn't line up all of the pieces in number order it wouldn't have been finished before next Tuesday.

Omg.
The wrong number box fiasco really has turned into a nightmare! Lol My phone has been going off for the last hour. I don't get it. It's not that hard to calculate.
The last whiner was supposed to get 141 units. 4 boxes of 30. (120) plus 21 individual units. They are whining that they are missing 62 units. That math does not compute. Aaargh. Not divisible by 30 or 20. I truly believe people try to get something for nothing when they see an error. Trying to take advantage of a small mistake.
On the bright side of life, my washing machine has decided to work again. Yayyyyyyyyyy! Cucumbers 🥒!

I have no idea why the washer wants to work again. I've been running the garden hose to it whenever it's not freezing outside. I noticed a few days ago that it started to make a clicking noise when it got to the rinse cycle. Today that clicking noise went off in my head. Aha!
It's the little things that bring me so much joy. Electricity Water Washing machines
I'm happier than I have been in weeks! Screw the box count calamity! I have cold water!!! Yay me!!!

I’m just onto pg2of dawns dye thread on DH (which I suspect is going to go the way they all do 😏) and am wincing at icy saying 50 is too young to go grey. Bullshit. She is so superficial it’s crazy.

Actually quite the opposite Deb. We seem to have had several different holidays in the one trip. And we’ve been from one end of the country to the other. It seems ages since we left home, but it’s only been just over three weeks.

Yay..............I can get in.
Yesterday it wouldn't let me.
Kept saying it could find the page.
I gave up in the end.
We have had everyone around for lunch today...............(belated birthday BBQ)
Hubby's sister and brother came around..............they bought an outdoor darts game.
The kids loved it..........(broke it.................but loved it)
I have glued it back together.............replaced the little ball baring weights thingies with sinkers............(dumbo technical talk)
And duc taped the rest of it within an inch of its life.
Lets see if it survives another round next time.
