My motto "a little on one day won't hurt" pre admission for me tomorrow so on my best behaviour. That would be my normal approach (not always successful and certainly not at Easter) but I need to minimise the amount of sugar going thru my system for a while. I’ll survive 🤷🏼♀️

Well I decided to get rid of my coffee table..........(it is as big as a fourth bedroom) Of course that meant I had to get a new mat............as you could see the wear marks on the old one Then that meant I had to move some furniture around. Then today I decided to move it all back. Of course that meant I somehow took out the internet. Thank goodness my neighbour was home. Lastly I just bought some new net curtains for the kitchen. I wonder if they will match the mat on the floor..........

When we were in Sydney for treatment we were staying a short walk away
from the Westfield complex. Had a few meals at the noodle shop he had his
last meal at. I want them to stop showing his image, we no longer need his face
looking back at us.

I meant to come back and say figlet, I hope your daughter is ok. She (and you) must be a bit traumatised by “what might have been” thoughts

Wonder how Linda Reynolds feels now?
Case sabotaged by political involvement.

I just got back from my local ANZAC Dawn Service. Gosh it was lovely but very cold 🥶 I think I prefer the small community services over the more formal city ones. The choir was dreadful, but enthusiastic. The bugler missed a few (many) notes and the MC kept losing his place, but it still felt very intimate and moving
but, I might go back to bed now 😴 💤

Awww. Sounds nice... sort of I gave it a miss this year but whatshisface wandered down to our local one and said it had a good turnout. My Melbourne son and his girlfriend arrived in Perth at 1:00 this morning so we will head into Northbridge and see if we can find somewhere nice for lunch. They are only here for a couple of days so got to make the most of it.

I had a double dose of vaccine yesterday. Flu and my second dose of shingles. OMG I couldn't wait for the night to be over. I was aching so much and felt cold and shivery but I didn't want to get out of bed and find the ibuprofen. Dosed up now.
The flu vaccine never bothers me but I remember when I had the first shingles one a couple of months ago I felt really achy. At least I should never have to get that one again.

I need to make an appointment to have my flu vaxx. Himself had the shingles ones this year. I think he got frightened by a mate of his who got shingles really badly and was sick for months, aged about 10 years and is now like a shuffly old man. Poor bugger

Its odd how many people I know who have had shingles over the last few years. I suppose that's just a sign of aging.

Brother-in-law had Shingles a few months ago (was quite ill). OH has had the two Shingles vaccines now. I have had the flu vax but my small medical centre doesn't have the Shingles vax. I think the medical centres only get a limited amount of the vax at a time here.. when that's gone they have to order more. Anyway it's good that the Shingle Vaccines are free (over 65). Cost around $500+.

I thought it was only free for over 70s?
We’re up in Canberra this weekend, to see the kidletts and to try to avoid the predicted heavy rain on the coast. Off to U9s soccer this morning and footy tomorrow with a bit of big city shopping thrown in between. Mothers Day Turkish feast tomorrow for various family and friends
