I took a couple of photos and I hate to do that with the moon because it always looks better with your eyes than a camera. Anyway, I combined the two and this is how it was. Top moon early in the evening and second one a while later. Attachment Deleted

My house has concrete floors that I have stained, sealed and have applied a wet look liquid polish to. It's a high gloss finish.
It was a production and took me almost a year.
First it was cut out the horrible old carpeting, pull staples, and lots of time scrapping off glue from the underlayment. Washing the floors to remove all traces of dirt.
Had to install shoe trim to the baseboards too.
I have area rugs that I will replace when they get worn. Here there is nothing but sand and since I open windows as much as possible it's impossible to keep it out of the house.
I don't have kids or pets to scratch up the floor and it is easy to clean and apply another coat of finish when I feel the need. It has been 4 years and haven't yet
Oh, and bugs can't hide on them like they can in carpet. They give me nightmares....
I figure whoever lives here next can cover the floors easily if they want.
It is really a horrible job to get rid of carpeting...redo floors but it makes such a wonderful difference.
So glad that some of you are getting some relief from the heat! I get it, hate it here in the summer and humidity is always an issue.

Wow this is nice - Thanks Pepe you have done another great job.
I've had a couple of crappy days pain wise - I hate taking medications
but I need to keep on top of this pain - so it's up the pain relief and stop
being pig headed. Will catch up later.

You are giving yourself good advice Lyn. I hope the pain eases quickly for you.
It is freezing here, but relief from the heat so I am not complaining.
I am off to more appointments today. Hopefully the last for quite a while. Have a good day everyone.

nice photo of it Joono... we saw the moon turn orange and it stay that way for quite some time.. Daughter commented that because the moon was so bright, we could see a lot more stars in the sky than usual, it was amazing
Geez Lyn, sorry to hear your still in pain... I was hoping that woud all be gone now.. hope it comes good soon
Bean I can just imagine what a horrible job that would be... getting the glue off the concrete... it sounds like it was all well worth it in the end though

I missed the bluebloodsupermoon but I have a picture window above my bed that the moon shines. through so I would have been bathed in its light while I slept. Great photo, Joono.
Lyn, take your painkillers.
I don't think I'll be doing much today. I changed cpap masks on Monday because the other one had left a painful welt on my cheek and I am finding it hard to get used to. I am a bit sleep deprived but I no longer have that feeling of exhaustion.

I stayed up to watch the moon too.
My camera just doesn't take decent pictures of a night.
We are still on school holidays here..........they don't go back until next Wednesday.
Finally we have some cooler weather..............so I plan on catching up on some garden work when the grand children go home.

The first mask was too small. Because I tend to sleep on my side, the new, bigger mask, is being slightly dislodged which then makes the incoming air sound loud. All of this makes me worry that I am doing something wrong which makes me anxious which then makes me not sleep well just in case I am doing something wrong. LOL.My brain will settle down soon which will help. I go back to the sleepcentre on Monday.

Good moon pic, joono. Too cloudy here.
School goes back here 5/6 Feb.. such a big variation between States/Terrotories . My rellies kids in QLD went back to school on 22/23 Jan.
Cooler weather is so welcome
Last evening I pulled a few weeds in the garden.. got sweaty doing that (humidity).. but after I stopped doing that it felt quite cold...all in the same 5 minutes.

Not that long ago temperatures in th e20;s felt hot but now it feels cool. I have bengal cats with too much excess energy from not running around like idiots during those hot days. And, the Superblueblood moon hasn't helped, either. [Bengals are referred to as Werebengals whenever there is a full moon because they tend to go crazier than usual]. I had to break up so many brawls last night. Willow is in a mood. Tzar is bored and has turned off my laptop three times already today. He's cleared the coffee table again and has had lots of play time with the fish on the stick so , at least, he'll be fine for a few hours. Rumer is guarding the cat enclosure. Ashka, is determined to sit on me and nags until I sit down. She is very clingy and demanding and vocal. The Burmese is one of the breeds that make up the Bengal cat and Ashka is a Burmese. Its never dull here. lol

Bean, I've seen some of those polished concrete floors in houses in Broome, but I always figured they'd make our place down here too cold in the winter.
Ava. I do hope you get your cpap problems fixed soon. I had a bad night last night for some reason and I'm feeling really second hand this morning.
Techie question. I cleaned (wiped over) the keyboard of my HP laptop yesterday and somehow I've managed to turn on the the light underneath it and have no idea how to turn it off again. Shutting down doesn't help when I reboot it the keyboard still glows. There is probably a function button that what do it, but I have no idea which one.

The apartment my daughter lives in has polished concrete floors (except in one bedroom and a short hallway there is carpet). Better that than some old carpet that needs replacing which a lot of leased places have.
Penny.. can you post the Model name/numbers of your laptop? Mines on the back under the serial numbers etc.. micro size though!

So, the dig has started in the Beaumont case... And the police seem confident the case will be solved soon.. a Current Affair ran an interesting theory on the factory owner... His (now deceased) son , saw the children walk in and be carried out.. To the boot of the car. The grandson seems very sure it was his grandfather who committed this horrible crime. The youngest was only 4 years old.

I see eBay is introducing a new global payments processor.. Adyen.. (cost of payment processing for sellers will be reduced) will probably take up to two years to get it here.. Paypal will still be a payment choice.

No, i missed it unfortunately AC
Interesting Fig, ebay are always making changes.. The way the fee structure is set up atm, makes it unviable for a lot of sellers, but they've had a lot of free FVF deals going on for the past few months to attract people back to the fold

I also thought the eBay free FVF deals might be a reaction to Amazon opening up here.. they have a marketplace?.. for people to sell their own products on. Some Australian businesses have done very well worldwide via Amazon US.. they couldn't get any big retailers here to stock their products, now they don't need them.

I haven't checked out Amazon here since their debut... and that was a bit of a fizzer.. they had a lot of expensive junky brands that I've never heard of and their designer brands were just as expensive as everywhere else Must chek them out again and see if they're any better now

Geez I hope there is a resolution to the Beaumont case.
I have spent today cleaning out the gazebo and moving things around.
We dont have guinea pigs any more.............I bred them for 15 years.
But I decided no more.
So we only have Indie now.

I have a cat that visits from over the back fence..............Squidge.........he would terrorise a chook.
I am OK with only Indie.
Our girls have two dogs and three cats between them ..............I can always go and pat/walk one of them when I feel the need.
Hubby has the day off work today...................he is out cropping our tomato plants.
I guess salsa making is gong to be on my "to do" list tomorrow.
They are later ripening than last year.................and none of my chilli are ready to pick yet.
