So, she thinks refugees and migrants acquire guns more easily than anyone else.. Lol, I don't think so
That post about the Greens MP was so funny. Icy is so very right wing.. at least she didn't blame Labor for Barnaby's bonking, tried to blame the Greens instead

...AAAAAAND here comes the expected, personal attacks from the Reich Wing. The high school students who survived and decided to stand up are now being FURTHER attacked by the "grown ups" of the GOP. ( because, you know, they haven't been hurt ENOUGH, lately ) Condescension, puerile insult & outright lies from the Fl. state & national Gopheads. Some of the students traveled to Tallahassee, to hear discourse on the merits of enhanced gun control laws. Though the Florida House knew these brave, young Americans were in the gallery, hoping that the "grown ups" would do the right thing ( or at least talk about doing the right thing ), the GOP Mullahs decided to show the Future of America that they weren't SHIT, in their eyes. They denied even civil DISCUSSION over the matter, in order to make time on the floor for PORN discussion. Yeah. Great overview of the Beginning of the Gop Jihad to Kill American Youth in the name of " link!!! "

today's farce IS at least motivating many of my friends and family members in florida to get involved in getting those assholes voted out this fall. it may not help, but it's worth a shot, and it sends a strong message to the rest of the country that WE CAN do the same. i am already actively campaigning for carl brewer as governor of kansas. he's my former mayor, and he was a damned good one. he's also the guy i told you about whose grandson was hideously murdered because of the fucked up state of the social services departments in kansas, thanks to that nazi, sam brownback.

This is what happens when you brainwash little kids into believing that guns will keep them safe. An 8-year-old Ohio boy who had an unloaded gun in his backpack has told police he brought the weapon to his elementary school because he thought another student was going to hurt him. The Springfield News-Sun reports that a teacher at Springfield's Simon Kenton Elementary School found the gun Tuesday afternoon while putting homework into the backpack. No one was hurt. Police responded to the school, and the boy was taken into custody. abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/year-ohio-boy-fears-hurt-takes-gun-school-53241510
Feel free to take that over there 👉 if you want. I don’t have the energy.

I have to confess I am not even reading that Concealed Carry thread - I just can't cope with that level of blind stupidity.

I'm only reading it for the biff Penny, but even then it's boring, repetitive and blindly stupid.

I had a look at the last page tis morning - it was the only thing I could access on DH (long story) I am so tempted to suggest the problem could be solved by only allowing women to own guns. I don't think there have been any female mass shooters.

The only reason I can access that thread is this : I can access the Round Up home page via Google and then click on 'latest post' from DH (at the time I tried the latest post was in the Concealed Carry thread). I can then go back and forth through the pages of that thread with no trouble, but as soon as I try to access the Dead Horse index page I get the error message again.

I guess you've all seen this. At least one state. Oregon passes bill banning gun ownership for people with domestic violence convictionthehill.com/homenews/state-watch/375144-oregon-legislature-passes-bill-banning-people-with-domestic-violenceThe Oregon legislature passed a bill Thursday banning anyone with a domestic violence conviction from owning a firearm, according to KOIN 6 local news station. The state has banned those with domestic violence or stalking convictions from owning guns since 2015, but a loophole in the law allowed abusers who aren’t living with, married to or have children with the victim to have their guns, according to OregonLive. The state’s House of Representatives passed the bill 37-23 last week — one day after the mass shooting at a Florida high school. The state Senate approved it 16-13 on Thursday.

as far as i'm concerned,ANY conviction that involves violence should mean an automatic ban on ANY kind of gun ownership. and an arrest for violence should mean you turn in your guns until you have been declared innocent.

I haven't read any more of that thread on DH nor gone back in there... it's all a bit much
I feel for the young Americans trying to get their message across... I don't think much is going to change in the near future.. but there is hope for a better future with their generation
