The 2nd Amendment extremists will never be swayed from their hardline position. The only way to enact sane gun regs is at the ballot box. If you feel that way, it's simple: if they take money from the NRA, don't vote for 'em in November.

A Russian troll farm, called the Internet Research Agency, has been spending 10's of millions of dollars since at least 2014 to build a social presence & movement, designed to push propaganda to the American voters. They also paid sympathetic Americans to front and support their agenda. I have little doubt that some of the folk on this forum probably came in contact with some of these trolls; are you an "expat" from an ebay forum, having been ousted by a swarm of button-pushers, even for completely innocuous posts? although i admire the theory behind it, i have a pretty serious problem with the student protest starting then. on a personal note, this would mean that my youngest niece wouldn't finish her senior year, because there is NO WAY the government would get anything done within 6 months minimum.
this would mean she loses her scholarships, and her chance for grants too, to help pay for her education. NOT happy with that concept.

it looks like they are going to do one day walkouts in march, at least, and i'm okay with that. i'm not sure about the april protest still happening though.
syd says she and alannah and sabrina would be okay to go, and not lose anything, as they will finish their credits up by april 15th anyway. but i still worry about their other friends, and other kids..
*btw,i am VERY proud of syd, my niece,and her 2 best friends "llama" and "preen" , those girls are SERIOUS about their educations!*
