I always had an aversion to guns, even though we did a bit of target shooting when I was in high school. But when I read the statistic, when my sons were little, that the most likely person to be harmed by a gun in the home was a teenage boy, that was it for me. I hate the things and can see no valid reason for an urban dweller to have any, unless they are sporting shooters and even then the storage security must be impenetrable.
Farmers are a different story of course, but even then I think less is better.

I started to think maybe I shouldn't have gotten rid of the small handgun.
What if one of the dogs is in unbearable pain and I need to end the suffering? (After hours vet is 45 or more minutes away).
I couldn't do it. I could get a neighbor to do it. No way I could shoot my own dog.
What if I need to scare off coyotes?
Solved that- fire crackers work just fine.
I can't see any reason for me to own a gun.
No regrets.

The executive order comes after about a dozen protesters heckled Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen as she ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Washington.
The protesters entered the restaurant and chanted "Shame!" and "End family separation!"
In a video posted on Facebook by Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America, the protesters yelled: "If kids don't eat in peace, you don't eat in peace."
Ms Nielsen paid her bill and left after about 10 or 15 minutes.

it's just that i heard him this morning saying that it was awful (he was saddened, or words like that) to see children crying and families torn apart, only hours after he said it was the only course of action, also that separating (crossing border) children from their parents has been done for decades, that is a lie.....all his own work
taking babies from their mothers to use them as tools, unbelievable

oh, i understand where you're coming from maggie, the man is NOT human. his whole life is a lie, and there are a whole lot more americans who are terrified of what he'll do next than the crazies at the roundup will aver admit.
for the first time in my life, i am afraid there WILL be a WWIII in MY lifetime, and it will be because of trump. and we will have no allies because he's busy alienating the entire world and turning america into an isolated stronghold that he will rule with an iron hand. civil war COULD happen, and soon, at that.

heard him say this morning that the whole world has been laughing at the US for decades (for their policies)........my opinion is that the world might have tittered occasionally, but that has turned into belly laughs only in the last 2 years (more to follow soon re separated children)
graceless would be kissing the ground that trump walks on for his immigrant policy, wouldn't you, graceless?
