There's a block of chocolate in the fridge. I'm not tempted at all, but the honey glazed cashews hiding in the pantry is another story.

Honey glazed cashews OMG! Drool! If I only lived close enough I'd be over there in a flash to save you from temptation.

I resolve to eat more cheese and be more friendly towards hamsters and other furry mammals....also sea mammals that have no fur.....but I am not friends with reptiles and insects.

I asked because I see the skunk lady has put a cow on the beach in the sun on the front page....I thought everybody must be where there is summer. I'm in Sacramento, CA in the valley area where it's been in the 50s all night....Fairly warm for this time of year...only because we have alot of cloud cover right now...It can dip down into the 30s...No snow though....Very rare that it ever has snowed in Sacramento. I like the fresh cool air so my screen door stays open year round and if it weren't for my parrot, I wouldn't ever use a heater. My parrot gets her own space heater though because I think she likes things a bit more "temperate" being from the jungles and everything.

good info cy, my oldest niece is looking to relocate from LA, since she& her S/O can work from home now. how's the cost of living in comparison to LA? i think she's like the weather better, for sure! Cost of living in Sacramento is definitely better than LA....(Parts of LA are some of the most expensive areas in the world you can live in right now)...
Sacramento is getting up there in living costs while the quality of life is going down somewhat.....If it weren't for the fact that I'm here to be close to family, I'd probably choose maybe Oregon, Washington or Montana....some place more rural...California, as a state, is basically being trashed by the people who run it...(that's about as political as I'll get here)....but it's true...I wouldn't recommend California any more as a great place to live...Living costs are too high, and it's not business friendly...
If I had to live in California though and wanted to be close to Sacramento, I'd probably look into more of the rural outlying areas such as found in the Sierra county areas...or places like Grass Valley, Sierra City...in those areas...I like the higher elevations, because the valley really cooks in the summers...
You can check out some of the land costs here...As you can see, it's still not cheap, and that's just raw land...

I'm down to one cigarette a day now and I THINK I can do this
sometimes when I think I want a cigarette , I have a couple of puffs to remind myself that I don't really want it.
Clarabelle, how is your weight loss going??

6kgs lost I still have a huge jellybelly but I'm happy with what I've lost so far and still dieting. It's not really a diet, I just stopped eating shit, and snacking between meals.

Well done, Clarabelle. 6 kg since New Year is excellent and much more sustainable than starving yourself to try for a more dramatic loss

Life can be so cruel. No sooner do we get on top of our New Year resolutions than it's time to decide what to give up for Lent.

lent? nuh-uh, no giving up. instead i decided to TAKE something up, so i will eat some sort of fish once a week until the spring equinox. i figure a couple of tuna sammies- barri style , maybe some fish sticks, and a mickey D's filet-o-fish should get me through until then, lol! i detest fish,so MY sacrifice is eating it. it'ss save a chicken or 2... snicker...
