I don't think I could afford to smoke like that anymore. What does a pack cost these days? I like that dream. It's expensive Joono, hubby just payed $238 for a carton of 200

Me too. Like when I got out of bed. I'm over it now but it was very depressing to start with.

I only smoke rollies Joono- don't like tailor mades.....I bought a packet of 30 PJ's for someone and I think they're like $35!
My tobacco cost $35 and it lasts about 10 days..
Deb, yes I do that too- rollies don't keep burning, they go out and then I smoke the rest later on.

Deb, you know how I feel about smoking. What you don't know is how long I have sat on my hands and stopped myself from posting about my friends smoking. You have no idea how uplifting it was to read you are cutting down. Good on you!!!

I just haven't talked about it in case I fail Prim, but I have managed to cut down over the past couple of months so far.. it would be good if I can totally quit over the next few months. Will wait and see

I found it pretty easy to give up, but I had to give up the morning coffee. I was behind a scruffy looking older man in woolies the other day, he bought a pack of 40's. $62.00 !!!! Duffy, it sounds like you are a light smoker, my partner gets 3 days out of a 50gram pack. Try and change or avoid the behaviours that are associated with smoking, like that morning coffee.

I drink too many sodas. I'm switching to bottled water instead of grabbing a soda when I'm thirsty.

good idea Torch... I always used to grab a can of Fanta if we were out and about and I got thirsty... just lately we've been hearing that we're mainly drinking sugar. I buy bottled water instead now and it quenches your thirst better anyway

Keep up the good work duffy and deb. You’re doing great 👍
Torch, I was more thinking about the bottles rather than the water. More plastic and all that. I keep several refilled bottles of water in the fridge and grab one of those when I am going somewhere, then bring it home again and refill it. I am trying really hard to be mindful and cut back on the amount of single use anything I use.

We use bottled water here as our tap water is undrinkable. I can smell the chlorine before I get the glass to my mouth. Our bottles are recyclable and we take the empties to a local bottle return centre about once a month. It took a while to get OH off the soft drink (soda) he grabbed for a thirst quencher and on to drinking water instead. It was only yesterday he commented that he would not go back now as he prefers water these days.

3 days without chocolate, kill me now.
I find fizzy drink far too sweet these days. Hubby likes iced coffee but it's all sugar too. We have rainwater, so I refill bottles to take in the car when we travel, and have some in the fridge.
I hate plastic. Evil stuff. I was out with friends the other night and one of the ladies was saying we now have plastic molecules in our urine. That can't be good.

my only resolution is to figure out a good way to dust the textured( popcorn) ceilings and walls in my new house. i DO know now that it isn't a good idea to use a brand new bright blue dustmop head...no cobwebs or dust, LOTS of bright blue fuzz now stuck everywhere, lol! MAYBE i should have washed it first.... Will your vacuum reach to get the blue bits off, Sin?? at present i don't have a vacuum, prim. what i did was use my old libman pushbroom, which has soft bristles since it's old, and gently brushed the ceiling until they fell down. then i had to wipe everything down, run the bissell on the rugs and floor, and it took me an hour to gt all the fuzz out of my hair AND my brush, lol! i got teased unmercifully on FB for not putting on one of my many hats first.

Sounds like my boy BFF- he's the same- 50 gm pack in 3 days. He also rolls two paper cigs- one day someone saw him doing it and proclaimed to their friend 'omg that guys rolling a joint in public'. He doesn't even smoke pot but smokes ciggys like they will go out of fashion.

Really? Wow, well done! I just polished off a square of Lindt orange intense dark chocolate. Only one square though. I'm pretty good at choccy allowances.

Clarabelle- I have a friend who is REALLY addicted to chocolate.
She counts the days she hasn't had any, like people do about drugs and alcohol.
Last time I saw her, she had 3 months up!
Good on you!` and the weight loss. :)

I wish I could............I am good for a few days and then bad for a few days.
To all you who are giving up smoking.............hang in there.................don't stop trying.
I am a non smoker for about 30 years now............I never really smoked much anyway................nor many.
