I just discovered that these two little girls are the same age (give or take a few days) Both were born in this country, but what very different lives they are living 😢

He'll be OK Tony and little Johnny will write him character references. yep Jenna Price @jennaprice · Jun 23 In the Australian today: "None of the women is believed to have complained about his conduct at the time the incidents are alleged to have taken place." Jacqueline Maley 3h The Australian has written today that the High Court inquiry into Dyson Heydon’s conduct didn’t hear “one word” from the former judge. That is because he declined to be interviewed or give a statement. The investigator said no adverse inference would be drawn from that decision www.sbs.com.au/news/john-howard-stands-by-dyson-heydon-appointment-says-he-did-an-excellent-jobFormer prime minister John Howard is standing by his government's 2003 decision to nominate Dyson Heydon to the High Court, as the fallout over sexual harassment claims against the ex-judge continues. "I stand by all of the High Court appointments made by my government," Mr Howard told The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age in a statement published on Wednesday. "Dyson Heydon was an excellent Judge of the High Court of Australia."

Sometimes I hate the internet The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is investigating a "disinformation" campaign about the Labor candidate for Eden Monaro, which falsely claimed she had quit the by-election race. The email claimed Kristy McBain had withdrawn from the race after contracting COVID-19 It also said she asked her supporters to redirect their vote to Liberal candidate Fiona Kotvojs The Australian Federal Police confirmed it is investigating and described the emails as "spam" www.abc.net.au/news/2020-06-25/afp-investigates-false-covid-claim-in-eden-monaro-by-election/12394270PS I should say I doubt very much it’s coming from Fiona Kotvojs. Other than being a Liberal she seems ok. It’s probably some random internet nutter I think.

“ Dyson Heydon was an excellent Judge of the High Court of Australia." That’s not the big issue now though is it, John Howard . anyone can still be good at their job but at the same time be engaging in predatory behaviour & sexual harassment to female staff, associates etc.

this is him Kay Liberal Member of Parliament for Kew. Shadow Minister for Planning & Heritage, Local Government, Housing and Population. he's a bit of a nobody really... there is talk that he's going to challenge Michael O'brien who is the opposition leader here ( though he denies it) I hope you read his twitter page... he complains about everything. I'm on there a lot

I suspect my response to Liberal cold calling might have got me taken off their mailing lists 😂 I have seen a few on twitter though. Disgusting 🤬 I’m really glad Kristy got up (or looks like she’s going to) I haven’t had a good look but I believe she received heavy support from the coast. We know what scummo did last summer 🔥 and we remember.

Pauline Hanson - Disgraceful. Good she got called out on it.
“Pauline Hanson has been dumped as a regular contributor to The Today Show after making racist remarks about coronavirus outbreaks in Melbourne.
The One Nation leader made several offensive comments about people locked down in public housing blocks.
The program initially boosted the "controversial" comments on social media and asked fans whether their guest had "gone too far".

about time Fig... they can keep her stuck on skynews
this is just ridiculous that Christian Porter would join Clive Palmer in taking WA to the HC over it's border closure... I remember Morrison saying borders were a state issue. just another big waste of taxpayers money
Pauline must've been just hot air(as usual) when she threatened to do the same to Qld.. she even gave them an ulitmatum, which passed ages ago

As an ex-Canberran with kids and grandkids living there I’m a bit conflicted with this one.
Ultimately I think this whole situation is an opportunity for our parliament to drag itself into this century and change their rules so as to allow remote sittings. If schools and businesses can do it so can they. Think of the $$ we could save and the reduction in polluting air miles.

I don't think walking away now will help Morrison in WA. His goose is cooked here.

don't trust Morrison.. a legal expert has said that his pulling out now makes no difference as he and Porter's submission/evidence will still be used in the HC case...
so it may be just another Scomo stunt trying to make himself 'look better'

I suspect he's had the WA Liberal party in his ear complaining about the harm he's doing them with a State election coming up early next year. As things currently stand they are pretty much unelectable.
And in breaking news in the West Australian today (I haven't posted a link as it's paywalled ) it appears Clive Palmer never actually put in an application to enter WA. Instead Carlo Filingeri, the pilot of his private jet made three submissions: In one he he put his (Filingeri's) gender as female and listed Palmer as his husband, in the second he said he was male and named Anna Palmer (Palmers wife) as his wife and in the third he listed Tiffany Bunn as his partner. Not surprisingly, WA Police thought it must be a hoax and that's why it was rejected. In discussions over the next few days between Palmer's lawyer and the State Solicitor's Office Palmer was invited to put in an application himself, but instead took out the writ. John Quigley - the WA' Attorney General said Mr Palmer "appears to have more money than brains or sense."
