Peace not war. So, we will, via our shonky government, provide weapons to aid wars that will create asylum seekers who will then be denied refuge by the government who was instrumental in their displacement.

Tim Costello of World Vision says ‘whatever money we make from this dirty business will be blood money’
Agree with that.

I wonder how the ABC got their hands on these files. Does anyone know?
kevin Rudd has already begun a law suit againts the ABC for broadcasting misinformation about him
Yesterday, i just kept hearing that the file leak was Penny Wong's fault.. Today I m hearing it's nothingto do with Penny Wong

And where's the AFP and ASIO.. Some of these are supposed to be defence documents aren't they?
And who is responsible.. A file cabinet full of paperwork would be much heavier than an empty file cabinet. Whether it had keys or not.. Yet no-one noticed?.
It's all very odd

It’s hilarious. Some poor PS has sold off an old filing cabinet with confidential files inside. And now the gummnt wants them back. Reads just like a Yes Minister script 😂

And we all know who they’ll go after. It won’t be ScoMo for his appalling proposals, it’ll be the pleb tasked with asset management.

the more I read about it AC.. the less convinced I am that it was an accident... so many things don't add up
lik the documents being in 3 states.. Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne ( though they haven't actually said if they were at ABC offices in the 3 states )
and that all the documents are national security docs from 2008- 2013 under a Labor Govt.
first they blamed Penny Wong, who now it turns out had nothing to do with it
there has been a leak on Morrison. Abbott and a smear of Kevin Rudd ( which was misleading and incorrect)
was there a smear on Dutton??? I can't remember
and of course no smear on Turnbull

thanks AC.. I didn't have time to read it before we went and am only about half way through it wow!! what a fluffy story... the flies were buzzing and the dogs were hanging around LOL One was journalist Michael McKinnon, the ABC's Freedom of Information editor. The other was a bushie who had lived in and travelled to different parts of the country. McKinnon had been as far as the High Court fighting for documents. He'd been appointed the nation's first FOI editor — by The Australian — and was clearly committed to documents being published rather than suppressed. His brother is Allan McKinnon, a deputy secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet who is currently in charge of national security for the Federal Government. ( what the?? LOL).... wow that leaves me unconvinced Everyone involved in the process at the ABC agreed that any documents which could endanger public safety or national security if published would not be published. Instead, we focused on stories which, while embarrassing to certain political figures such as Kevin Rudd, Penny Wong, Scott Morrison and Tony Abbott, were clearly not of any security threat. (interesting to note is that the files never even had anything to do with Penny Wong)

Barnaby's in town (just been to Canberra airport). Couldn't drive up to the pick up area outside Arrivals as it was cordoned off.. not sure what that was all about (someone more important than Barnaby arriving?).. had to park in the building (no free minutes, grr).
Dodgy business the filing cabinets with files still in them..

The stock market is taking a big hit, following the U.S. Dow.. What goes up must come down.. The past 12 months of rises were based on sentiment only, as are the current falls, as well as a bit of nervousness about rising interest rates creeping in
How low will it go though... Our superfunds will be taking a big hit atm

I think my favorite part of the day today was watching Fox News have to interrupt their live coverage of Trump bragging about the economy in order to cover the historic Dow Jones stock market drop.
that's a tweet I came across today that made me laugh

Apparently Sean Hannity from Fox News has blamed Obama for the stock market crash.

this is an example of how the media manipulates us
newscorp have finally broken this story... although it was widely known about since Sept. last year, it was kept secret by the press, so as not to effect the New England by-election or the SSM vote
I remember hearing this man in Parliament claim that he 'believes in the sanctity of marriage" all the while knowing what he had done. what I didn't know was that the woman hd also previousy worked for the Daily Telegraph, as well as being Joyce's staffer.
why now I ask?... there must be an ulterior motive for releasing this story ... to get Jim Molan off the front pages???
