so, Morrison was originally due back on Monday... it'll be interesting to see if he really does cut his holiday short and come back sooner

I get that there’s probably not much he can do, even if he was in the country, but what really pisses me off, he can afford an os holiday while the volunteer firefighters get paid nothing extra ( I assume those with jobs still get their wages?) for putting their life on the line.
The rfs should be paid for every day they are fighting fires.

those firefighters must be exhausted... they've been battling these fires since the end of August.. and are in need of food, water and have a shortage of masks
what I don't understand, is why the army hasn't been called in to help.... on last night's news they showed volunteer firefighters desperately trying to get people out of their homes... the army could at least be assisting with that

it's about leadership Clarabelle... there is none.. he shouldnt've gone off on a holiday during an emergency.. he should've remained here and made sure that firefighters have whatever they need.. instead of them having to ask for food donations etc.

i think this has damaged them a bit , but i also believe they wont budge . the government will cobble something aesthetic together disguised as ''action '' but it's owners will want business as usual or accelerated selling before all support collapses .
