Covid isn’t over

Not a good ending to a wonderful holiday.

Hard to know how many people there are that get covid now.

I still wear a mask in places where there are lot of people. Mainly because I have an allergy cough (not contagious) and don't want to scare others. 

By being vaccinated or by relying on other people to do it for them?

It isn’t political even though some people still try to make it so.

We need to have learnt from the past 3 years.
Stay up to date with immunisation, consider wearing a mask in crowded or confined spaces, ventilate schools and office buildings etc, stay home if you get sick, be cautious around people like the elderly or immune-compromised.
Stop going down rabbit holes and believing every dumb conspiracy theory that comes along. The government or the UN or aliens are NOT trying to kill us all off.

You know just the simple, sensible stuff

I haven't had it yet. I'm fully vaxed so if it hits me should be mild.

Me too, even though I have no doubt that I now have better immunity than any of you that got the shots and didn't get the original strain of covid. These shots are quite simply, a bad joke. Let's review the history of the talking points, shall we?

If you get the shots, you won't get Covid, and you won't spread it to others.
If you get the shots, you can still get covid, you can spread it to others, but it's not as likely, you won't be as sick, and you certainly won't die.
If you get the shots, you can still get very sick, but it's less likely, you can spread it to others, but it's not as likely, and you certainly won't die.
If you get the shots. you can still spread it to others, get very sick AND DIE, but it's less likely.

Yeah, ok, ENJOY! 

And since 10s of millions at least, had it, but were asymptomatic, a lot of the herd immunity is natural.

I didn't give in and I'm glad that I didn't. I was proven 100% correct................survived the original strain with a mild case and I didn't feel that I needed a shot.

Yeah all well and good, but the danger is that what started as specifically anti covid vaccination (for whatever reasons) has morphed into a general anti any vaccination in some portions of the population.
I’m thinking specifically about things like polio or measles or meningococcal. Vaccinations that we know are safe and extremely effective.

Cases of these horrible yet preventable diseases are increasing because of vague “i don’t trust authority” ideas being passed around, mainly on social media. That worries me.

I haven't had covid. I have had all the shots/boosters. Had a daughter staying with us last Xmas period and she caught covid then. Her father (vaccinated) caught it off her but I didn't.  I wore my mask at home 

Took a 4th COVID booster recently- along with the flu and RSV vaccines.

Pretty sure the side effects are insomnia- and a need to post on random chat boards at 2AM. Sure am glad those selfless Dr. Fauci types exist. Those people protect the stupid from themselves.

Ivermectin pushin' Dr. YouTube is only in it for themselves- Dr. Fauci has people's best interest in mind. Go get vaccinated- or don't.
