Usually the first Saturday in December. I'm looking forward to getting out my bauble collection. Not so keen on putting the lights on the tree

I only have a tiny tree and it's looking a bit scruffy, so I'm planning to get a slightly bigger one complete with LED lights as we'll have kids (great grandies) here for Christmas this year.

Always has been the first weekend in December, except this year we have a major golf tournament on then, which Iโm responsible for, so it might have to be a bit later. Weโre not home on Christmas Day this year so it will probably just be our little LED one

I will request it gets taken down from the garage ceiling space next weekend. I get OH to put the lights on, hate doing that. I can rearrange any bits that are a bit dodgy.
I like the smaller trees which have the lights permanently attached.

Am I the grinch?
No kids, no tree, no gifts hahah
Agreement because we buy what we want and need all year, and I
don't want useless gifts lol
PS if someone really wanted to gift me, I would want them to
donate it to kids with cancer.

I can see your point, Freddie, but I'd love you to put up a little tree. You remind me a bit of JMK here

(((lyn))) My partner puts up a Charlie Brown tree....about a foot tall with one red ornament. Puts it away in it's little box every year. Our family made the same agreement years ago. I am truly a Grinch....though I do gift randomly. Sometimes run across something that I know that someone will like. As many of the family as possible does get together for a holiday feast at my sister's house. She all out decorates for the benefit of my mother who lives with her.

She sent a picture of it blown up on her table with one piece of tinsel on it.
She said it had a small leak in it and all day her and her son had to keep blowing it back up.
I'll see if I can find the picture later.
We started some Christmas stuff with the grand children last night.
We decorated some cookies.
They loved it.

I will buy chocolates for Bonnie to give to the groomer. Chocolates for Mr F to take
to his Monday outing to share with the workers and friends. I always do a traditional roast
pork, ham veg dinner with trifle ice cream and maybe a pav.
J JMK lol what an honour *giggle*

It will be very nice to not have put the lights on. I'm a clear lights person but it's very pretty, Penny. Especially for the littlies.

Usually ours goes up on Dec. 1st. Family tradition for some reason. This year I've beena bit busy with other things, so it's not up yet.
Untangling the lights is the worst part of Christmas...those fibre optic trees are nice Penny,(and a lot less work)

I'm all for less work, Deb. I'm still patiently awaiting delivery - apparently there's a weather related delay with deliveries to WA

You are clever, Pepe.
Tree is out of the box and that's as far as I've got. I might put it together tonight and do the decorating tomorrow.

they are red wicker ones.
I just printed out a mock up for personalised chocky bars - these are from aldi - I just replace the outer wrappers

I have ours up. It just needs some baubles moving around to look more even. We've had the tree since our daughters were in primary school. Would like a new one now. One with built in lights.

We did too, it was on the verandah, which was protected from the elements. The decorations were pretty basic..crepe paper chains and a few ornaments. Tree cut from the farm.Usually a bit wonky as Dad chose it.
Daughter that lives in Cbr buys a real pine tree, they bought theirs today.
