I think it lives over the road at the stockfeeds place. Their birds are very free range. We always get a couple of their chickens wandering around our garden. Luckily Baloo doesn't mess with them. The guinea fowl make a horrible noise but they like the block next door more than our place.

My fried rice was perfect, but the recipe for the chicken was far too sweet. I would
cut back on the honey if I ever make it again.

I've been trying out the air fryer oven for the last couple of day. I didn't really want one but whatsit keeps telling me how good people say they are. Coles is flogging them at the moment. www.germanica.com.au/air-fryers/gf25afoss/25l-multi-function-air-fryer-ovenOf course the first thing I tried was chips (frozen) because I had to try out the chip basket. I made home made pizza last night, which turned out great. No quicker than the big oven but it uses less electricity and no warm up time which is good. Do not try toasting crumpets. So much easier to just get out the toaster. Maybe bread is different. I have no idea what else to use it for. I might need a better instruction manual

I love my air fryer. I haven't used the rotisserie, but will one day.

I just remembered. The pizza did take less time than in the big oven. I think the rule of thumb is that temp should be a bit lower and the time about 20 percent less.
What else do you cook in yours, Freddie?

Tonight just a home made chicken schnitzel, aldi chips gravy and salad.
It's quicker and more convenient, toss them both in together cut up the salad
and it's cooked.

Same, and probably not the pheasant too We don't have to eat every living creature in the world do we? The rest, yum.

Does anyone know if tinned foods go off? I'm going to make crab and sweetcorn soup this weekend and I found a can of creamed corn in the pantry. I think it's been in there for twice as long as this thread I think I'm going to ditch it. I'm a bit fussy about food. What do you think about tinned foods? They never seem to have a use by date on them.

if you are just going to ditch it you may as well open it and see if its ok i don't use much tinned stuff, although i did once have a tin of condensed milk turn into caramel all by itself...

The food cans usually have a smallish best before date stamp on them. Recently I had some food cans to giveaway and I checked the best before date hadn't expired before offering them to others.

Not this one, Fig. Maybe it's too old LOL. Anyway. Ditched it. Not taking the chance for a couple of dollars.

I'd do the same. OH doesn't really believe in 'best before dates'. Good luck to him
