So much for all my bed making. One lot didn’t come because of a work/business crises and the others have a suspected chicken pox infection
Families! Who’d have ‘em! ❤️❤️❤️

That's a shame. Can you reschedule? I'm not sure when school holidays are over.

Soon, I hope 😀. Can never get a car park at Westfield...(nice) parents taking their children to the Movies there. 20 deg currently. A lot of heavy rain in some parts in ACT and over into NSW - flood damage, one area they lost their TV reception as well.

I took a bit of a tumble yesterday (my fault, did something silly - no need for details) and have really hurt my knee 😢 I’m taking anti inflammatories, icing it and sitting with it elevated. Thank goodness for the tennis 📺

Kate, were you skate boarding again?
There is nothing worse than being off your feet. I spent a couple of weeks in a moon boot before Christmas and I didn't even do anything?

I know.............they say as time goes on days get longer but the years go quicker.
It doesnt seem that long ago we were all contributing to picking a name for one of our grand daughters...............she is 4 shortly.
I got a nice surprise in this morning.
The home where my natural mother was sent me all her photo albums............and the quilt our eldest daughter made her.
She had kept every card and letter I had sent her over the years.............that was nice.
We scattered her ashes this weekend.............she always wanted to come back to Tasmania.

Erk. Could do without the 43 thanks Freddie. I've been away for a couple of days down by the river having a good old time eating too much and drinking too much but it was beautiful and relaxing. I took this photo last night. We went to the foreshore for a picnic before the fireworks and just before the show the full moon came up. Bit fuzzy because of the light and I zoomed in. Now we've had Christmas, New Years and Australia Day. Party time over... maybe.

Beautiful sunny morning here today. Of course it is! We’ve had the kids since Thursday and it’s been miserable and very unbeachy. They are going home today 🙄

The birds are going crazy for the fountain today. I made sure I topped it up with fresh water this morning and the bees are enjoying it too.
We did cancel our city day this week. My sister has just recovered from (mild) Covid and didn't feel like she had the energy to cope with the heat. I'm lucky I seem to have avoided it again. It is so random whether it hits you are not. I shared an Uber twice with her when she would have been most infectious.
Touch wood.

Urgh, 44 degrees.
I should find a cool spot for a container of water somewhere for the birds. The lawn is in the sun all day(water gets hot) and the birds are a bit shifty about being too close to humans near the house.

We bought a bird bath when we still had Indie.
She hated it.............(stupid bird)
I used to put a big bowl of water on the top of her cage every day for her bath.
Every time I used the vacuum cleaner she would have a bath...............(I did say she was a stupid bird)
Last year I planted a heap of sweet pea plants in the garden beds up the side of the house.
Our grand daughters love to pick flowers for their Mum's
I just let them reseed this year.............OMG.........they have gone crazy.
The Bumble Bees love them for some reason.
They also like the bird bath.
Joono...............Hubby has not caught Covid yet.............I don't know how...............he usually catches everything.
It is still crazy windy here.............I think my missing tea towel has done a round trip.
It is knocking my roses around real bad.
Only think I hate more than the heat is the wind.
Bring on Winter.

Same, Flashie. I hate the easterlies.
Your Indie story reminds me of Baloo. Whenever I vacuumed he would run for his ball and then come and chase the vacuum head. I wouldn't let him play with the vacuum unless he had his ball in house mouth so that he wouldn't slobber all over it trying to bite it.

I love sweet peas. My Mum always grew them.
Read this recently "Don't dig sweet peas or garden peas up, cut them off at the base as the roots have nodules full of nitrogen, that goes back into the soil"
Hot dry winds and days with high humidity - awful.

I might try that Figlet. These sweet peas are a beautiful colour...two toned pinks and reds I was going out to sort them all out today because tomorrow is Fogo bin day................but it didnt happen. It is still windy here..............I cant get motivated. Tomorrow is the last day of holidays here.............I think they are ready to do...........I know there parents are. Our daughter is taking her 11 year old cat to the vet tomorrow. She is a tad worried about him...............and messaged her brother for some comforting words. It went something like this. Daughter..............I am taking the cat to to vet on Wednesday....he has been losing weight. Son..................maybe you should ask him what his secret is.

Cheeky brother I was quite pleased yesterday to find that I can access Ancestry through the ACT online Library for free. It may not be the exact same as the paid one but I could find all the info about all those I looked up from Scotland. My fathers mother appears to have 3 first names, when I've only known of her having two. That's both my grandmas that have 3 first names no wonder I ended up with 3 also. Looked up my Grandad from Ballarat too.
