Kay, yes privately. I wish I had been more forceful with the dealership
regarding what they offered for the trade. Bought the car from them and
it's been serviced by them. Has only 27,200 on the clock. Full 12 months
rego. Tank full of fuel plus we added the front sensor.

Clara, we had to wait the recommended 12 weeks for the 2nd shot. Now that they are playing catch up
they have dropped the waiting time to 8 weeks.

Daughter here only lives about 8 mins away from us by car. She doesn't live in the same district/area as us so we don't go to her area...which isn't a bad thing as there's been a lot of covid cases where she is (high school, Pharmacy..) No Father's Day visits for us either.
The gap between astraZ jabs was 12 weeks..not sure if they have shortened that..it is a long wait.
* Didn't see your post before posting mine, Lyn. OH is still on his 12 week wait, perhaps he should see if he can get in earlier.

My Melbourne son had his 2nd pfizer jab today. I'm so pleased about that. He was very lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

You both would have very been pleased about that. ACT Bunnings Hardware - click n collect or delivery only now, because... "It comes after 19,000 people checked into a Bunnings store in one day in Canberra during the lockdown." 19,000 ? We do need a part for the sliding door rail between the kitchen and dining room, it won't open as is..click n collect will do.

My recent click and collect or deliveries: wine, new TV, groceries, TV antenna cable, golf balls, clothes, more wine, HelloFresh meal box, books …… I laugh sometimes about how much the delivery drivers know about us these days 🤣

I haven’t bought anything online for ages. I want headphones for hubby to listen to the tv, but I read the reviews on the model I pick and don’t go through with it. Seems companies these days think shoddy workmanship, defects and short life span are acceptable norms and still expect hundreds of dollars.
I went into the grocery earlier in the week, thought I’d get in before the next round of panic buying. Apparently that was today, instigated by rumours of a truckie blockade, shelves are bare again. stupid twatwaffles.
Oh, this is the covid thread, not the general thread. Ok, my three nieces got their pfizer shots this week. One is a vet in wollongong, it was her second dose, one is on the goldcoast and works at schools in NSW as well as private practice in QLD, and the third has two jobs, one on either side of the Vic/Nsw border. My sister and brother-inlaws went to a walk in vaccination thingy in Bundy and also got pfizer. They are 60, hmmm or maybe 59.
I need to do a Driver Knowledge Test but I don’t think they are doing them under the current lockdown.
Kay, how many golf balls does a golfer need? Lol.

When you play like I have lately … lots I think they are so disgusted with my swing they take themselves off to hide in the trees. Some are so desperate they try to drown themselves in the ocean or lake

Just a sore arm for a day or so and a couple of chills from my first Az vax... Joono, your son was very lucky to get a Pz shot here.
Sounds like you're still in lockdown Lyn,....we also have had no cases in the suburbs around us. NSW have now stopped reporting the number of cases under investigation or "out in the community" ..which is a bit of a worry
Mark Mcgowan must be hopping mad that 2 truckdrivers from NSW have tested positive in WA

Deb I get annoyed when you see footage on TV of Sydney people out in
the community maskless coffee in hand socializing. Whilst we in regional
NSW walk around outdoors in masks.

It's so wrong Lyn and Fig...some are saying they won't lock down their own electorates
The numbers today are a bit of a shock and though I don't know the details a person who had the double vax died. I've noticed over time there've been quite a few deaths of people who've had one shot.
I really hate that NSW has stopped publishing the numbers in the community

Deb, do you mean people running around the community whilst infected? Or people who don’t know how they got it?

NSW 6 deaths 3 in their 70's 3 in their 80's.
4 unvaccinated 2 had one jab.
The numbers are alarming 1,218 Positive mostly in the Western burbs of Sydney.
But Dubbo and surrounding area's are also alarming.

Dubbo is a worry. It is a major service hub for the central west. People come from hundreds of k’s away.

Deb, do you mean people running around the community whilst infected? Or people who don’t know how they got it? both Clarabelle.. no longer being reported or published casey briggs @caseybriggs · Aug 27 NSW Health has confirmed to me that it is not going to be reporting the number of linked/unlinked cases or their isolation status at 11am each day. It says those figures are not a meaningful representation of case investigations. I used to read them daily in here (under 'wild cases') covidlive.com.au/nsw

1218 cases reported in the past 24 hours. Only 161 have known links to other cases, according to NSW health site. That could change as they investigate further. Perhaps there is just too many to trace in a timely manner now, so they don’t release the info. I don’t know how many were active in the community.

Argh.. lockdowns are hard.. ut we need to do it.. we have quite a few exposure sites around us now, so everyone has to be really careful where they go. For the 2nd year in a row. We missed dad's birthday and will again miss father's day

So proud of my little town. One of our local surgeries held a vaccination open day today. It was pouring with rain (our highest September rainfall for 20something years today). They queued for hours. All 16-59 year olds and all for Pfizer. ❤️

Well it took a while, but it’s got here. A positive covid case announced today in Batemans Bay. Heaps of people commute up and down the coast so I expect to hear it’s everywhere soon. So pleased all those people got vaxxed yesterday. I know it’s only a tiny bit of protection so far but at least it’s something.

"Hours after Labor accused him of “appalling judgment” for making a flying visit to Sydney to see his family on Father’s Day, the Prime Minister said he was no different from other essential workers in needing to move between cities."No use him mentioning he is an essential worker in this case.. him flying in to visit his family on Father's Day (in another State) is NOT work related. "Flights between the two cities cost $2118 each way in the most recent Schedule of Special Purpose Flights released every six months by the Department of Defence."I'm sure that will thrill people out of work, doing it hard. www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/cheap-politics-morrison-defends-4000-trip-to-sydney-on-father-s-day-weekend-20210907-p58piy.html
