They have cancelled Dark Mofo for this year.
That is a real kick in the butt for tourism here.

Our eldest daughter has a trip planned to Mexico & Cuba, she is supposed to fly out on 10 April. Cuba has its first cases of covid-19 - 3 tourists from Italy. Mexico - 12 cases, though there are doubts on their testing rate.

My Canadian friend, who was supposed to go home for her mother’s memorial, has just had her trip cancelled. I’m not sure if her flight got cancelled or she decided not to go for fear of not getting back.
Our UK visitors left us this morning to fly out of Sydney tonight. They were getting a bit worried about getting stuck.

Wow! I just heard again from my friend. She made the call to cancel but Air Canada have not charged for the change and she has 100% credit to use within a year. Thats pretty good I reckon

Morrison is an idiot.
They also should be shutting down all schools ., besides huge gathering events.

That's very fair Kay. My sister and her husband had to cancel their Italian holiday. I'll have to ask her how that went.
They already had a cruise cancelled by Princess with a full refund and 50% credit on any future cruise. You can't get fairer that that. They are big travellers so they went to Adelaide and did the wine cruise instead.
Oops, I typed that nearly an hour ago and forgot to hit reply.

Morrison is an idiot. They also should be shutting down all schools ., besides huge gathering events. did you watch his 'address to the nation" last night.. it was pathetic, it was all about how good he is and how quickly he's acted.. which is a lot of rubbish imo... I'd say they've been too slow to react. no information at all about what to expect with the virus

No, i didn't see it Deb, can't stand the idiot. his response time to the bushfires was bad enough .
He should of done a lot more when this was first mentioned but he didn't. it's too late once the horse has bolted.

The Prime Minister has urged Australians to head to the footy this weekend, but adjunct professor Bill Bowtell says we should take every possible measure to slow the spread of coronavirus - and we need to do a lot better
That shows how serious our PM is taking it, plus have they not advised any events over 500 people to be cancelled??????

The word is that #liarfromtheshire won’t close down large gatherings because Hillsong has a huge conference happening on Sunday
