To be honest, I'm not surprised. I always felt he wasnot actually convicted on the evidence. I feel so desperately sorry for his victims though - imagine what they must be going through.
Scottish law allows for a third possible verdict, 'Not proven'. It's a pity that one couldn't have been used here.

Isn’t it the case that they haven’t really ruled on his guilt or innocence but on technical issues with the trial? I still chose to believe the victims. I expect him to be tied up in legal battles for the rest of his days.

people in that community were expecting this because of the 'he said she said ' as was i . when faced with the law as written the high court had little choice , at least his name is mud . there's literally no trace of him in the public side of his old haunts .
i also know for a fact some of the lawyers and other accusers are giving it up as it's too hard on both .

a 'he said she said' being a case based on ''you did this '' and ''No i didn't '' without corroborating witnesses in case anyone on cs didn't know . i haven't read there for at least 2 years (dont want to clear the Banned cookie )

He's staying at a rather opulent monastary in Kew, where a courier just delivered a box of wine inside the gate, a woman dressed in brown robes came out and collected it for his celebration.. (the video is on my twitter feed)

That's interesting - if I remember rightly they are an enclosed order, which means they are permanently 'confined to barracks' and live a life of silent prayer and contemplation. I wouldn't have thought partying was quite their style.
