Good riddance from that job then. The next person will be just as cruel and heartless no doubt.

What a circus!
So only 7 more people voted for Turnbull than for Dutton in a "snap" vote
Greg Hunt wanted to be Dutton's deputy and is said to be furious that's come out
Some are saying there'll be another tilt at leadership very soon... I wonder if it will be Abbott next time?

I agree Carmella, but at the same time I think Labor is struggling with Bill Shorten. Not his fault, but he is so unpopular on both sides. If libs have a spill then maybe labor should too and start afresh.

Why do you all think Shorten is unpopular with the voters?

I think that the next few days are going to be very interesting. I hope that a Federal election is called. The LNP have to go. I'm not overly fond of ALP but they are an improvement of what we currently have.
We need a Prime Minister like the one NZ has.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dutton mounts another leadership challenge once he has increased his number of supporters. He's trying to sell himself as being compassionate with a sense of humour so he is up to something.

I’m sick of these leadership challenges, and the party electing new leaders and therefore PM. Rightly or wrongly, Turnball was elected by the people, so we should like it or lump it, until his term is up. How many millions are paying now to exPMs. How can you trust people that are so quick to stab their fellow party members in the back.
Seems to me the last PM that tried to fix the country rather than his own ego and pocket was JH. Whether he succeeded is probably a matter of opinion, but the last few govts are all about themselves and probably owned by the Chinese.

Why do you all think Shorten is unpopular with the voters? Lyn, personally I just don't know of anyone that supports Shorten as PM, even among die hard Labor voters. I don't know why exactly. I think it's too late now, but when he took over I think they would have been better off with someone else in the job.

J true I like Albo but could never put my finger on why so much angst against Shorten -
For a polly he appears to have compassion I wondered if it was just a campaign
against him which has turned the media driving the unthinking populous
in that direction.
