So thanks to senators like Hanson. Hinch. Layonhjelm and the Ex Xenophoner's we have fhe 2024 personal tax cuts through. The only independant who had the guts to hold out was ex economist Tim Storer
They haven't had a vote on the company tax cuts yet, Hinch says he won't support them, but will he roll in the end as he usually does?
It should be interesting

Its all about aspirations, Deb. I am going to end up loathing that word by the time the federal election takes place.

Sarah Hansen-Young has sought legal advice today and there's been widespread condemnation of sky news from lots of other journalists... Thers's a petition going around asking Alan Joyce to remove sky news from Qantas as it doesn't give foreigners a very good picture of Australia and Australians

This plays into Leyonhelms (?) hands in a way .. (the attention ) right/pseudo libertarian Milo rules demand he be an asshole (as the hosts say ) so to me the stunt signals election talk and his only hope are deplorables .naturally .

On qanda last night, one of the audience "questioners" was a liberal party plant. It's happened many times before, and you don't usually find out until later
A lot of complaints are being made to qanda about the lack of disclosure to the public... the man says that qanda producers knew who he was, the question he asked gave the liberal panelist an opportunity to do some political advertising
Imo they should disclose these people prior to their questions being asked, and if they're going to allow it... they should balance it by having a "plant" from the other political side as well

Was he the one who claimed his wife had a small business? His position was so obvious from the moment he opened his mouth.

Much as Tone Jones annoys me sometimes I wasn’t overly impressed with Monday nights host (who’s name escapes be for the moment) He let them be too shouty and talking over the top of one another. He also seemed to forget that it’s the audience who asked the question, not the host. Next week looks interesting with the “people panel”

That was Hamish Macdonald. He's a pretty good journalist and has worked all over the place but I didn't watch much of Q&A this week.

another recent "set-up" was a phone caller Shorten took on Qld radio... anyone who watches parliament question time will have heard about the call
Patsy was really a patsy beng a Liberal Party memeber from Bribie Island
"" And blow me down with a feather...it has come to pass that "Patsy" the talkback radio caller to RW 4BC Brisbane, who exchanged words with Bill Shorten, and accused him of being a liar, is not really Patsy after all...but a Liberal Party member from Bribie Island ""

I rarely watch Q&A these days. It used to be must-see viewing but it has lost its bite and is biased towards the LNP and their cronies. Such a shame.

AUSTRALIA’S richest person Gina Rinehart has accused her daughter Bianca of seeking to involve Barnaby Joyce in their bitter court battle because she deeply disapproves of the former deputy PM as a person and a politician.
Bianca has served a subpoena on Mr Joyce seeking documents relating to the $40,000 agriculture prize Mrs Rinehart gave him and any other financial dealings between the friends, including raffle tickets.
“This is a fishing expedition,” Mrs Rinehart’s barrister Christian Bova told a court yesterday in arguing to dismiss the subpoena served on Mr Joyce and those served on two other entities that received donations worth $8.5 million
The night Mr Joyce and his former staffer Vikki Campion appeared in a $150,000 interview about their affair and baby, Bianca Rinehart tweeted she was donating $150,000 to each state for victims of abuse.
She has also subpoenaed a mysterious foundation, CEF, which received $4 million from Hancock Prospecting in the year to June 2015, and the conservative Institute of Public Affairs think tank, which received $4.5 million from Hancock Prospecting.
The Institute did not declare Hancock Prospecting’s donation in its annual report, and after receiving the funds awarded Mrs Rinehart life membership.
hmm interesting that bit about the IPA donation.. they call themselves a charity and did not declare the $4.5 donation
will have to do some research to see f I can find out what CEF is
