I'm glad Joyce is no longer Deputy Prime Minister of Australia.. he's not suitable to hold any position like that.
I always knew he was a loose cannon but he's got even worse now.
I hope his ex takes him to the cleaners ($$ wise). She deserves it.

In the past 24 hours, Qld police acting on instruction from the Australian Federal Police, have initiated a series of night-time raids on a number of elderly Exit members. Under the guise of carrying out ‘wellness checks’ police have arrived stating that they believed the person had imported euthanasia drugs and seeking access to the property to carry out a search.
In one case an elderly member in a Tweed Head retirement village was visited at midnight. Police demanded that he hand over euthanasia drugs they believed he had imported.

The AFP is a part of Dutton's Home Affairs Department. He is such a heartless bastard so I wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with it. Conducting nighttime raids on the elderly is pretty low. It must have been a very frightening experience.

I suspect it may backfire on them very badly. Whatever one's views on euthanasia, I don't think most people would be impressed with midnight raids on elderly people in retirement villages.

that's what they did in new zealand, set up an RBT and got their names and addresses, then knocked on all their doors under the guise of wellness checks...nz is supposed to be more enlightened than here
apparently they can do that, Penny, but they can't enter without a search warrant, but if they do enter, they can rip your house apart no problem

Now he's absenting himself again... 11 weeks personal leave . Federal Nationals backbencher Barnaby Joyce has taken almost 11 weeks personal leave from his parliamentary duties, effective immediately.
Mr Joyce applied to the National Party Whip for time off, six weeks after he and his partner Vikki Campion welcomed a baby boy.
Labor has granted the Member for New England a "pair" — meaning Mr Joyce's absence will not affect votes in the Lower House.
He is due to return to Parliament on Monday, August 13.
