To be honest, I always saw Nero as more of a Tony Abbott fan. I suspect she'd be hoping for a spill.
I saw a lovely comment from the Sydney Morning Herald on Google News today. It’s time to stop running Australia like it’s an episode of Game Of Thrones

Nero used to get very over excited when Polls came out when Rudd and Gillard were in... VERY EXCITED.

The hard right hate him and call him a "leftie". The left wing don't like him either

Mr Joyce said “Malcolm’s not a fool” and knew he would have to stand aside by the end of the year if the government did not stage a comeback. “We’re stating here the bleeding obvious. Nobody wants to actually go to a federal election which you know you’re going to lose,” he said on Sky News.
hahaha that one seat majority is really a problem for the LNP

Isn't it nice to know that Australian politics is all about ironing boards and kitchen tables.

There'd be a more than a few that would want Abbott and Joyce gagged (to stop them driveling on to the media).

Its just a matter of time. I wonder if Dutton was given so much power by Turnbull as some sort of payment to stop him from challenging Truffles' leadership? Dutton scares me. I know what he is capable of and I dread what will happen if he becomes PM.

Forty four thousand places in Australia's skilled independent visa program have traditionally gone to applicants who are mostly Asian and living overseas.
But now as many as 10,000 Kiwis who are already living and working in Australia will be part of this annual allocation.
The Department of Home Affairs confirmed to the ABC that New Zealanders receiving the new visa are already counted as residents, reducing the number of people coming to Australia as a result of the program
The move will help slow the growth of migration by thousands each year — without changing the Government's formal permanent intake.
Give with one hand and take from the other.

There was another one of his cronies who was strongly against a Royal Commission into banking and said the same thing yesterday... very poor judgement on their behalf. Saying "I was wrong" now is too late

I can't remember who told us (solicitor? ) not to go to a bank for financial advise.. because they're not very experienced, only sell a limited range of products and they're likely to push something on you that gets them the highest commission.
I know sometimes in the past (when you still had to go into the bank to do transactions etc) the counter staff did sometimes say.. would you like to make an appt with our financial advisor... NO.

we did. just to hear what they had to say. they charge more than double what industry super funds charge... needless to say, we didn't take any notice of anything they said
industry super funds are the best... that's why the Govt. is attacking them

i told a bank teller a long time ago that she should be ashamed of herself when she tried to sell me something, it was obvious from the transaction she was doing at the time that i was not in any position to take on what she suggested....i know they are told to sell stuff, but i think they should be more selective

Agree maggie. I worked in a bank when I left school. We didn't have to sell/push financial products/services (incl insurance) then. . Every now and then we had to encourage people to open bank accounts... to get new customers..I got my Mum to open one ..don't think Dad did as he would have had a farm/business account elsewhere. The bank are just about fully automated now.. have huge ATM's inside - ones that you just feed notes into if making a deposit and it counts the money, other ones that can give coins out.. concierge who you can't get past till you tell them what you want to do at the bank. 1 or 2 tellers way down the back that you can't get to without passing the concierge.

One of my nieces worked as a teller for a while. She is still with the bank but in a different position now.
They were forced to try to sell other products to customers and had to meet a quota. She hated it, especially when she knew that the product wasn't going to be beneficial to the customer. They had to tick it off.

Yep, concierge. I went into an ANZ bank in QLD.. (wanted to change $20's to $10's) and there were tellers with no customers in front of them.. and a padded bench seat opposite with people sitting on it.. I couldn't work out what to do (didn't want to push in).. so asked the 'concierge/front of house staff person'... she said.. take a number and sit down.... .. they're banks not the Tax Office (who get hundreds in the door everyday). I just turned around and went out.. my bank was nearby.. I didn't notice it earlier. No ticket machine there, and not nearly all automated like the one here.
