i can't understand why bail was even an option let alone so affordable for him. they have bail bondsmen , it's like a pawnshop for crims . the bondsman bails you out and makes a profit on the deal , he also has to catch them if they run in order to redeem the pawn . (i liked jackie brown with Pam Grier , she is great ) as for the situation all i can say is keep your head down dawn , blend in . (making no assumptions as to if you already do or not )

I have super wonderful news!!!!!
He went to town, where almost everyone knows him (as opposed to a large town like Memphis), and he purchased ammunition.
Someone saw him make the purchase and called the police immediately. The police searched his house. They found his gun(s). He broke the conditions of the bond. He is back in jail. Probably forever.
So here's what's a little crazy. I'm three or four days behind on all of this. He was out for several days before I found out. He went back to jail the same day I found out that he was ever free. So I was carefree when I should have been worried. Worried when I didn't need to be.
Sigh.

If you break the condition of bail, is the money returned or does the court/government keep it?

His crazy affected his intelligence.
When I first met him, he was smart, funny, cute... charming. Then he went crazy. Stopped bathing and got into conspiracy theories.
As I just typed that.... it made me realize the same thing happened to my last boyfriend.
Is it me and my fault (I make them crazy) or is it Alex Jones' fault? Everyone probably thinks I'm joking. Not joking.
Warning- PI- (Will be used against me lol)
I broke up with my last boyfriend in 2006. I finally got him to move out in 2016. I got him to stop contacting me (finally? I think and hope) July 7th.

The bond is never returned regardless.
If you were mistakenly arrested and posted $100 for bond by a friend or family member, that money is gone forever.
If you hire a bondsman, it will cost more than the $100. Money still gone forever.
I knew nothing about jails and the system before I moved here- yet I left Ca as an officer of the court (process server and filer). I knew everything about family, civil and bankruptcy court back then. I know nothing about that now and too much about criminal court.

The article says the bond was $150,000 That’s a bit better than $1,500 Either way, I’m pleased he’s back locked up for everyone’s safety

The article says the bond was $150,000 That’s a bit better than $1,500 Either way, I’m pleased he’s back locked up for everyone’s safety You only have to post 10% of the bond- in this case $1500. If a person were to run off to Mexico, the bondsman (or whoever paid the bond) is now liable for the entire bond, not just the 10%. Then the entire amount is paid to the court.

Lol at me and my bad math skills!
I just realized 10% would have been $15k.
I feel a lot better about the court system now. I was peeved at 1500. 15k probably wasn't easy to come up with.
I really am Dawmb, hahahaha.

What a relief for you Dawn - and for us on your behalf. But fancy trying to buy ammunition in a place where you are so well known whilst out on bail on a murder charge. The man is definitely more than a few penny bangers short of a fireworks display.
