We were talking about this today. How many times do you google stuff you had no idea about? I google all sorts of things, like today, RSV. Never heard of it. I also google stuff like what the hell is tea bagging, what is a butt plug, and what is statutory rape. I didn't realise that if two teenagers under 16 had sex it is against the law. Sheltered upbringing I suppose

There are a few things I've googled that I'd be embarrassed about if the police looked at my history. I had to look up the word queef. I had never heard that one before. And I also had to look up taint. I also thought statutory rape was between someone under 18 and someone over 18.

I think everyone has some search history that might be questionable. But if the FBI read the chat boards we read/post on that should clear up any concerns. Either clear things up or lock us up!

I actually looked it up because of another story I read about… 284-year-old twins. Ugh Siri. Two 84 year old twins.

I had never heard of Diane Arbus. I can definitely see the use of her photograph of the twins, in The Shinings, twin girls. She led a fascinating life. It's too bad that they didn't seem to have anything to help her with what was obvious bi-polar disorder.

I was fascinated by the giant with his parents photo. He was 9 feet tall! That is really very tall.

The police have highly skilled technology sniffer dogs now that can detect/locate pieces of technology e,g. sim cards, mobiles etc that have been ditched on a suspects property. The tech items have a protective type coating on them and that is what the dogs sniff for - clever. If a sim card was hidden in a piece of fruit the dogs can still detect that the sim card is in there. New AFP tech dogs taking a bite out of crimeThey have a nose for sniffing out crime and this year the AFP’s detection dogs have detected cash hidden under stairs, sim cards concealed in shoes and USBs buried in eskies full of food. The AFP detection dog program added four fully trained dogs this year, making the capability more than 100 canines deployed or in training around the country. The dogs are often used during the execution of search warrants linked to suspected child sex offenders, terrorists and illicit drug and weapon traffickers. The dogs specialise in sniffing out many items favoured by criminals including explosives, firearms, currency, drugs and electronic devices. www.afp.gov.au/news-centre/media-release/new-afp-tech-dogs-taking-bite-out-crime

I googled the definition of horologist. I had never heard, or read that word before. Sounds kind of dirty. But it’s actually not.
How would Aussies spell it because you know Aussies always like to stick a U after an O.
Hourologist? Houroulogist?

Never heard of a horologist. I think we call them someone to fix your watch if you paid a fortune for it and it's skipping time or something. Especially for wind up watches.

Have you noticed when you’re pumping gas now there’s this little TV type screen giving you commercials? At least at the new fangled gas stations.
While I was pumping gas yesterday, that was the word of the day on the screen. It was unbelievable to me, so I had to Google it.

Because honestly, it sounds like the study of…
So the other night at work this lady knocks at the door. My other female coworker and I go answer because there is safety in numbers. Our much smaller and younger coworker is behind us holding a hammer. The lady at the door says something like macta freezah WoosAh Isa Booza… And I’m thinking, what? My younger female coworker with much better hearing turns around and tells me she wants to know if we sell portable mattresses.
No. What a strange question. Or is it? Wouldn’t that be really convenient if you were a lady of the evening and you had a portable mattress? You could go anywhere you want to. Sky is the limit.
For a moment I wished that we sold mattresses.
