I’m not a great soccer fan and I really don’t like jingoism, but that game tonight had me absolutely enthralled the whole way through.
I think the neighbours may have heard me scream when Cortnee Vine slotted that final penalty goal.
Such a cruel way to decide a result

Daughter in Sydney went to that match tonight and really enjoyed it. Calls herself a newly minted soccer expert now. She sent us a few video clips.

I thought France had the better game, they had more possession. But the
Matilda's got the win in the end. Great spectacle to watch nail biting ending.

I came here to share that too joono. How awesome for those little girls to see and experience that. Our two granddaughters have been playing U6 soccer this year and loving it.
Yes lyn, it’s a shame the Diamonds WC win has been overshadowed by the soccer, but a bit understandable given the soccer is on home ground.
