I turned 55 this year.
Today I discovered that not only do my younger friends and family not know that song or who Sammy Hagar is but they also have never heard of the sound of music or guys and dolls.
I’m old.
Put me out?
How did this happen?

I can’t believe that I had to send videos of Edelweiss and that goat song.
Started out with me singing doe a deer a female deer Ray a drop of golden sun me a name I call myself...

Age is the price we pay for the gaining of wisdom - and while it may be a pain in the butt (and several other parts of the anatomy) at times, it sure as hell beats the alternative.

talking to my14 year old son has a similar effect on me , he's a good boy though as his year 8 mid year was average 95 .. what he lost on 'tech ' was made up elsewhere . teacher says he breaks too many things which is not something he tends to do I'm more inclined to believe it's his tendency to speak up and often.

I had to give an envelope to a worker on Sunday morning.
(I did NOT open it, even though it was unusual).
They didn’t show up for work on Friday, but they did call in.
I said, “I hope it’s not your Walking Papers”.
They had no idea what that meant.
So I ask my 35 year old son.
No idea.
Really??
Really?
Am I so old that that term is antiquated?

In a strange fit of irony~ we all got our Walking Papers this Monday morning.
I’ve always known we would dwindle out of business.
16.5 years at this company.
That’s almost half of my adult working life.
(The Sunday envelope was a change of address form, in case you wondered)
