The Coronation.
I had it running on my iPad on my lap while also watching the (rugby league) Magic Round on the TV. With 1 ear phone in it was a bit surreal. The simultaneous combo of church service and footy was wild 😜
I am a bit of a sucker for pageantry, but also think we should become a republic.

Ditto, Kay. I loved it. I mean the ceremony and the whole shebang. Yes, Australia should become a republic, but when it comes to pomp and pageantry nobody does it better than England.
I didn't want to watch it but I was a wee bit mesmerised by the whole thing.

Nope. didn't bother.
With regard to Monarchy v Republic (and bear with me, I've probably said this somewhere on here before) My Dad had a cryptic but very wise comment on the subject: 'the important thing about a Constitutional Monarch is that he or she occupies a position that nobody else can fill."

True that penny. I don’t have much time for the institution, but I do like a good parade.
This one made me giggle this morning

I watched it. Amazing organising. 4000 military all doing their thing at the right time etc. The woman (Conservative MP) who walked in front of Charles in the sword wielding role was impressive. First woman to have that role. Impressive outfit.
