My parents never bought me Sea Monkeys but some of my friends had them.
I did get an Uncle Milton’s ant farm. That didn’t turn out so well.
Why do I feel compelled to buy my grandkids ant farms and sea monkey zoos?
I haven’t done it yet but the desire is almost overwhelming.
Is it nostalgia?

I sent away for Sea Monkeys from an ad on the back of a comic book. They never "hatched". I learned at an early age, that stuff like that was crap.
I can't walk out of a store without buying something for my grandson. With me being so old when I had my kids and then my daughter being so old when she had my grandson, I know I don't have a lot of years with him. So I'm going to spoil him rotten while I can.

 . I had an ant farm when I was a kid. My kids had sea monkeys .. we were just talking about them the other day..sea monkeys were actually krill

we called them sea wallabies . i know who milton berle and bob hope are , years ago people would come up tome and say 'want to buy some bob hope ?' we had different ant farms because australia .. they build them upside down here .

did anyone actually sell 'Grit ?' i know phantom rings didn't work as advertised (or x-ray specs for that matter )
does anyone agree that Cy was hit with a lawn dart ? head shot for sure .

I won a phantom ring in a Christmas cracker when I was pregnant with my first child. I still have it. The ring and the son.
I did have the Lady Penelope x-ray specs. They didn't work either.

I loved the phantom comics, wish I still had them. Do comic books still exist?
