I'm still breathing - pain meds upped and anti b's for infection
not in the wound but to the right of it. Have been battling but

Hang in there, Lyn. Remember you only have to get through one day at a time.

It's a lovely cool morning (in comparison to the normal) so I enjoyed my walk today. I'm surprised to be able to tell you that my son is still walking with me! although I should add it involved a stop at the bakery today Sustenance, you know?

i've been walking on the treadmill with netflix on and a fan right in front of me. i prefer outdoors walks but if its not too hot or muggy lately there are heaps if bitey insects - so indoors it is.

I used to hop on the treadmill when I was watching Bold and the Beautiful, but I can't handle more than about 10 minutes on the treaddy. Our morning walk if we do the scenic loop takes 30 to 35 minutes and that's a brisk walk. It's brisk for me but more like a stroll for my son.
I'm looking forward to Autumn already. It's my favourite time of the year and great for walking at any time of the day.

And I have 6 weeks of paperwork to catch up on before tonight's meeting.
Our eldest daughter finally can apply to get her drivers license back...............two years fit free...............Yay!
Lets see if I can get back in after I post this.

That's really good news Flashie. It's horrible not being able to get yourself around. Luckily I only had to wait six months. At first I thought I only had to wait three months, so I cried when I was told that no, 6 months is mandatory.

Lyn, I am always saying to you to hang in there but it really is the only way to think. One day at a time. I wish I had a magic wand to take the pain away.
Good news about your daughter Flashie.
For me it has been too hot to walk here. OH drops me at work and has a lovely walk around a beautiful park nearby because it is cooler at that time and then drives home. Talk about the Life of Riley!

Why can't you drive, Sin? Is it the same reason you can't take flashing avatars? I can't remember what that does.

yup, it's my eyeballs that are the problem. i have a condition/disease called retinal pigmentosa. it causes different problems for other people, my problems are tunnel vision, night blindness and vertigo. what i see all the time is what you see when you look through binoculars, is the easiest way to explain it. i see nothing to the side, or above,or below straightline vision. anything that moves too fast, or too up/down jumpy, or too bright, will mess with my vision for as much as 15 minutes , i have to "go black" and shut my eyes to ...what word do i want.. to re-orient my brain. then i have to wait a good minute to re-orient my vision track to eliminate the vertigo. kinda makes night blindness a given, i guess.. but it'sokay mostly, because i've never been able to see like you do, so i can't say i miss it. when it comes to driving, i don't want to risk other people's lives because i can't see. that's why i get so mad at inattentive drivers...they kill the people i'm trying not to kill.

Jeez, I had no idea Sin. I guess if you were born with it it's not quite as bad as if it suddenly happens, but it must be a real PITA not being able to drive.

A young guy my daughter works with is not able to drive because of an eye condition (not sure which one). He has an oversized computer screen at work.

That's no good Sin. Yikes, I had a vertigo experience just a couple of weeks ago for the first time ever. It's a horrible feeling and makes you quite nauseous. I figured out how to stop it by just sitting still and concentrating on my hand held out in front of me until the room stopped spinning. It happened just briefly the next day and hasn't happened again yet, touch wood.
I think it's caused by an ear imbalance.

I'm a wonderful driver, it's probably my top skill.
My last accident involving a human... she parked behind me and I slowly backed into her. I wish I had the pics but they were on my old phone. I barely scuffed her, but she filed a claim on me. My insurance went up $30 a month. The law is that when you're backing up you are responsible for anything you hit. I get that... but she was parked in a hazardous way- in a small car behind my gigantic truck.
The really incredibly annoying thing was that she said she hit someone head on just the day before. Her front end was totaled and she should not have been driving the car (she desperately needed lottery tickets). She won the Lottery that day, she got money to buy another car from the first head on accident and $600 from my insurance company - cash in her pocket because the car, as I said, was totaled out.
I hope her karma sucks. The guy that hit me on xmas eve... I said merry Christmas and forget about it. Good karma for me!!!

my weird vision is why i love the"360" views of sets of my tv shows, i get to "see" the way normal people do simply by manipulating the little directional thingajig. first time i saw one was for my show"the librarians", it was such a cool experience! i do wish i could drive, but i'm lucky to have people who understand and don't mind carting my narrow behind around, lol! i loved boston, busses and subways and amtrak trains, NOBODY drives there unless they have to,so i was almost normal there. here, transit sucks, everyone drives everywhere, and i get stared at because i walk! a lady once told me that" only homeless people walk' and that's why she was staring at me. i just laughed and told her she should try it sometime, good for your health. she wasn't appreciative, being a bit..uumm...plump, lol! joono, most vertigo IS caused by inner ear issues, you might want to talk to your doctor. dawn, that sucks! but good on YOU for being kind! really, my biggest problem is stairs. since i can't see them like y'all can, i need someone to walk in front of me going down, and behind me going up, in case vertigo hits and i lose my equilibrium. i'm okay if there are rails i can reach on both sides though, i just kind of feel my way up or down then.

I'd be lost if I couldn't drive.. I love to just get in my car and take off somewhere
gosh it's hot again here.. went for a walk at 2 am last night and came across some tawny frogmouths.. one was a baby... they make an odd noise , I was expecting it to say ÖOOOO OOOOO
have to go dishwasher shopping today... ours has sprung a few leaks. but we've had a good 23 year innings out of it.. I hope they still make them as good as that one was, but I'm guessing they don't

That sounds so challenging, Sin, but, you do learn to work with what you have.
The heat has knocked me around a bit. I used to love the heat but the older i get, the less I seem to be able to cope with it. My old cat, Ashka, has flaked on the floor with her back end on the cooling mat and her front end on the floorboards. Its not that hot here at the moment but it is humid.
The handyman is finally coming over tonight to give me quotes for what I want done to the house. Hopefully, there is still enough property settlement money left to cover everything.
