We were in Las Vegas just before the pandemic. Next in line at the casino Starbuck's- with one other customer behind us... and here comes a Platinum casino cardholder... Platinum members are allowed to cut to the front of the line.
The douche just stepped right in front of us- not even an," excuse me"- and the poor barista had to just smile.
The barista apologized- and we just laughed.

LOL- and another Starbuck's moment.
I ordered a coffee- and it was ready before the person's coffee who had ordered her coffee first.
She said, " Where's my coffee! I was here first!" or something like that.
I responded with, "She's right. Please keep my coffee behind the counter until after her coffee is ready."
LOL- bet she never goes that route again- "Karens" need a dose of reality.

This person and I were approaching the check-out line at King Soopers- and they sped up and cut me off. They glanced over their shoulder with a smug grin. I said, "It's all good- your time is obviously way more important than my time."
Good times... let Karen/Karl have their way- while laughing.

I hear people bragging about being Platinum members and think to myself, "you idiot...you're a platinum member because you lost so much at the casino. My mother-in-law was a heavy gambler. She got a "free" cruise to Mexico for being a platinum member. She was so excited and bragged about it. This cruise usually runs around $800. I know for a fact, that in one year she lost over $20,000 at the casino. So much for her "free" cruise. |

Another side to entitled recipients.
Very grateful and overwhelmed to find myself needing urgent medical treatment recently.
Diagnosed, and as a public patient was operated on within weeks. No doubt I jumped
ahead of Private patients waiting for surgical procedures. In saying that, sometimes it
works both ways.

The rich are more than happy to wait in line with everyone else- while the posers smugly grin and cut to the front of the line.
$200.00 Nikes- the latest iPhone... "Yep-look at me" public facade and a 2nd mortgage with $10.00 in their checking account behind the scene.
Pretty sad that we live in a world where the approval ratings of another are nearing on being more important than the approval ratings of ourselves.

LOL- I'm no better than anyone else, but luck of the draw placed me in a really special place. A person who is born in America- with a flush toilet- and 20 minute food delivery has little room to whine.
