I spent half an hour trying to do the math until I decided I would pay myself $20 to stop thinking about it and just do whatever.
Oh and Dog food went up $2 a bag. I think it’s about time they get real jobs and pay for their own food.

I drove by a Chevron station yesterday. The price of unleaded with a credit card was $5.89 per gallon. This is a place where the price is pretty much the average in San Diego. We have one of the highest prices on gas, of anyone. San Diego is even higher than Los Angeles and San Francisco.

I will get points if I go here, I will get 10% off if I go there. This place is farther than that one. The one where I get nothing is cheapest.
What is my time worth and when can I stop thinking about it???
Right now it’s $3.99 a gallon. Two weeks ago it was $3.03.
I had a coupon for dog food but I would need to buy two bags and that’s too much and what if it gets stale and the dogs won’t eat it or what if the 2nd bag attracts mice and and and
I’m very overwhelmed lately.

That's $1.37 AU per litre, yeah?
Cheaper than us.
It's about $1.80 per litre of 91 unleaded around here. I blame Biden.

Here is a simple math equation:
Gas is $3.99 I get 36 mpg. How much will it cost me to drive 4.5 miles?
(I bet Egulch could tell us the answer) (I can’t tell us the answer).

It will cost you about 50 cents to drive 4.5 miles. It would cost me 82 cents if I got 36 mpg. Sadly I only get about 20, so going 4.5 miles costs me $1.48.

Gas is around $3.60 (US) per gallon in Denver. Then again, a two-liter bottle of Pepsi is $2.50. Which is like $5.00 per gallon.
LOL- sure do wish the US would get with the program, and start using the metric system. It would make the math easier.

I want to know why Pepsi is sold in two litre bottles- and gas is sold by the gallon.
Confusing stuff- there's likely a link to Soros and his cabal of Venezuelan heathens. Mixing metrics confuses the easily manipulated sheep.
They bleat, "MAaaaaaGAaaaaaaa" on demand.

I drove the extra 50 cents to save $2.
$59 to fill my tank.
I think that’s $80 in Australia.

My head is spinning with math again because gas shot up 50 cents in the last few days.
50 cents = 79 cents in Aussie Time, I think.
I need Egulch Wisdom again!!!
I filled the tank with BP gas because it was 15 cents cheaper than my regular station- Marathon.
BP = 3.00 Marathon= 3.15
By the end of the tank, I got 3 miles less per gallon.
BP= 36 mpg Marathon= 39 mpg
My tank holds 15 gallons.
If I did my math even remotely correctly 😂 I think I lost 60 cents by buying the cheaper gas.

I should add that I get rewards points with the marathon gas so after a few weeks I get $.10 off per gallon.

If I did my calculations correctly. On the BP, you get 540 miles on a tank of gas. (15 gal times 36 mpg = 540). On the Marathon, you get 585 miles on a tank of gas. (15 gal times 39 mpg = 585) For each mile of the BP it costs you .1238¢ to drive. Each mile of the Marathon, costs you .12¢ to drive. If you drove 585 miles with BP, 45 miles more, you would need to spend an additional $5.57 or 1.85 gallons more. .1238 times 45 miles = $5.57. To go the same distance with each brand would be $55.57 for the BP and $47.25 with the Marathon, for a difference of $3.32 more for BP to drive the same distance.
