one must accept a banning a badge of honor, and move on(in many cases, not all).
If you get under someone's skin to the point they cannot debate you, or stand toe to toe with you, and resort to the ban button... you win.
There are of course other reasons for banning not as prestigious... but when you are banned for this reason, accept it, and move on.... score it as a win.

My son spent quite a bit of time with winner to be Michelle in Thailand. rock climbing, slack lining, and having fun. She left there to go do her series.

I was banned for a typo on the word bigger.... n, and b are next to one another.... another time for accidentally posting an embedded link... and another time for calling someone a name a search yielded 4 pages...lol

Much of it was fueled by a few over the top OCD Contards there who lost their minds when a thread I authored went to 30,000 posts(most ever on that forum). I kid ewe knot it drove them insane. Then a visiting admin stepped on a few toes from their group and they went postal... called in favors from anti and not sure who else to "fix the problem"... What was funny was one of the admins seemed to be trolling their group by allowing my thread to flourish... it was pretty funny. Then after the visiting admin incident, suddenly three new mods were appointed(all from their group... like-minded clones). And they started chanting about my two previous bans, and how I'd better walk softly... it was planned from the beginning... powerless is a pussy. After a few months of me not giving them a legit reason, they just made one up.... fair enough. You don't NEED a reason to ban someone from a private board. But the way they squirmed to justify it was funny. That board was great in it's hay day... now it's just another Con Hell hole. |

People will always remember the banned.
This is why Osama Bin Laden was dumped in the ocean, and fed to the fishes... they feared his grave would become a massive memorial. People would write songs about him and stuff.

I DID write a song about this story I heard of a fisherman being lost and not found at sea.
The local Chesapeake folk believed the first lightning storm of the season would bring a body to the surface.
My father heard an old man telling this story in a small restaurant... and he anticipated the coming storm would bring this lost soul to the surface.
He left quite quickly to go look.
Believe it or knot, during the oncoming storm... yup, found him... buried him.
good damned story...
Three people have re-recorded my song, and a film maker created a short film about it.
The actress(beautiful French woman), had a short nude scene in this film...
Wasn't crazy about the film... was interesting... but had that "French film" intonation if ya know what I mean?
Film maker also kinda buried me in the credits.... which was fine, really wasn't MY story. I simply told it.
But Dawn... if you let powerless scare you away from Sucks, um, wow...
Kinda weak my friend. He's the biggest pussy I've ever encountered.
Go back and call him such... it's what he is.

Do you have a LINK to your song? I would like to hear it. Dad and I did this album when I was 17 for Folkways records... it's part of the Smithsonian Folkways archive... We recorded the entire album in a day... I'd give a dollar to re-record this song. Tempo changed several times entering the chorus... dammit!! Other songs came out quite well. Dredgin' is my drudgery... dad's song about the sailing skipjacks that dredged oysters under sail power is the best song on the album... LOVE it... I worked on these boats as a wee lad... 16-17. They'd never hired an outsider before. They told me to go away.... finally hired me. After a while they were trying to marry me up with their daughters...lol Magical experiences |

KCrab~ I think of it as the opposite. Being strong and not weak.
When MM first banned me (I think it was a three week ban)... he banned my isp and not my ID.
It took strength for me to willfully not post when I had something to say.
I wouldn’t attend a party if I knew I wasn’t wanted there. I wouldn’t work at a job where I was disliked. I wouldn’t go to a store if I thought they didn’t want my business.
True story: I am loyal to businesses I like.
I liked my tire store for about 5 years. Very loyal. Recommended them to everyone.
One day the dude says “you’re in here too much”.
I solved his problem immediately.
