I can’t believe I’ve been friends with such a racist asshole for this many years. I’m glad he ended the friendship now that I think about it.
I have this soft spot for people. I try to think beyond their faults.
I cringe when people that I like say really bad things. But I still try to be their friend.

This is quite painful for me, as well.
My best bud, second only to Polly, in my life voted for Stinkfinger.
And our conversations over the last 4 years have been more and more difficult.
He's not one of those virulent, frothing magats,
but he's incredibly naive about things, sometimes.
Being a ( supposedly ) Devote Catholic, he didn't know if he was going to vote this year.
His support for Stinkfinger is due to the this idea he has that
Stinkfinger Will End Abortion.
And the things that have come out of his mouth over the last 4 years leave me gobsmacked and heartbroken.
This is not the incredible human I have... HAD known for more than 40 years!
