Has anyone used them? I was given one recently but haven’t tried it out yet. Does the smell (which is quite pleasant) go thru into the food being stored? They say it doesn’t, but I can’t see how it wouldn’t. www.beeswaxwraps.com.au

I have never seen it before, Kay. I like the look of it and it looks easier to deal with than gladwrap. Not sure about the hygiene, especially when she washes it and then leaves it stuck on the kitchen sink to dry.

I have some. I did notice the beeswax smell intially.. just in the air, not in the food.
I have used them around a cut avocado & mango etc which worked well and to cover glass dishes in the fridge (with cooked lasagne etc in it).
I don't use them a lot as most of our containers that go in the fridge have lids.
We only use a bit of glad wrap on a cut Rockmelon half and watermelon comes with glad wrap.
Need to try a beeswax wrap on the rockmelon.
We don't use gladwrap for anything else.
The beeswax wraps are only supposed to last around 6 months and then need replacing.

Thanks fig. I love the idea of them but don’t know how much I will actually use it.

The pack I got (as a gift) had two large and two small wraps. Which I don't think is the best choice for me.. I would probably use more medium & small than the large (34 x34 cm) ones.
