Did any of you in the west feel it? We have friends holidaying near Broome and they said it was pretty frightening.

We didn't feel it either - but we're about 180k south of Perth so I wouldn't have expected to.

They had one in Indonesia shortly after the one recorded in WA.
In Melb in 2012.. we had a 5.4.we certainly felt it.. but it didn't cause any damage.
The first thing to happen is the sound of it., it sounds just like a train is coming and it gets louder and louder and doesn't stop...then everything around starts to move and rattle

Growing up in NZ we had regular small ones. We had earthquake drill at school.
