I wonder what the Libs have offered her.. this is what I hate about the politicans here.. they sell themselves out
It's as if the Libs know they can't win the seat so are determined to secure votes in a sneaky, back door sort of a way
If anyone uses twitter , have a look at her account and have a look at the things she said to and about the liberals 2 days ago

Now, that is one massive backflip. Voting for me as an Independent in #WentworthByElection will help to ensure the religious Right don’t get their way on increasing religious-based discrimination. I stand for social justice, inclusion and community harmony. More Prof Kerryn Phelps AM Retweeted Liberal Party Really @liberalaus ? How about you try to justify your own policies and conduct? Oh that's right. You can't. That's why you need to resort to fake scaremongering instead of stepping up and taking responsibility. Australia, we are better than this. So disappointing. But we shouldn’t really be surprised. A back flip before she’s even elected is upping the anti a fair bit 😏

so the Liberals were accusing her of being affiliated with Labor.. and a couple of days later she announces directing her preferences to the Liberals
then Christine Forster says this
Christine Forster Verified account @resourcefultype 19h19 hours ago More No surprises @drkerrynphelps says she will put Libs above Labor. She’s hoping to pick off Liberal voters, run 2nd & have any Lib #2 preferences exhaust. It’s all just politicking #WentworthByElection #auspol

I'd like to see a complete overhaul of our political system and take it back to grass roots. Get rid of the dick measuring competitions; have people from all walks of life; have a panel for each portfolio that consist of relevant people eg. Indigenous people for Indigenous Affairs, Medical people for Health Affairs, Social workers, psychologists for DHS. And, lots more changes.

It would have been far better if she had declined to allocate preferences at all, telling everyone to make their own minds up. I think that would have won a lot of respect from voters on both sides.

She's a tough old boiler, but I always felt she made a pretty fair fist of the foreign affairs portfolio - it's not a job for the faint-hearted.

Penny, i have heard more than one journo say that she is one of the worst foreign affairs ministers that we have ever had, i wouldn't know one way or the other.....the wife of the ex-labor minister that we know says that she hasn't eaten more than one lettuce leaf a week for years

Over 3 months ago, a young man was found dead in his tent on Nauru. At last, he will be finally buried, in Australia, on Wednesday and his family will be able to attend after being flown here [Court ordered] for medical treatment. There is further info in the article about the conditions on Nauru. www.theguardian.com/world/2018/sep/25/court-orders-peter-dutton-to-transfer-ill-family-of-three-from-nauruThe federal court has once again enforced the medical evacuation of dangerously ill asylum seekers and refugees from Nauru, ordering the home affairs minister, Peter Dutton, to transfer a family of three over the weekend. The order, delivered by Justice Tom Thawley on Friday, also stipulated that they not be treated by anyone contracted by Australian Border Force or detention health provider IHMS. It also addressed the long-held concerns of advocates and lawyers of sudden transfers back to Nauru, by ordering the department to give five business days’ notice of any plan to do so to the family’s solicitor or, if no solicitor is registered, the family itself. Thawley also ordered the minister to pay costs.

hehehe I was Hoping Michelle Guthrie would leak the Govt interference in the ABC
here we go:
ABC chairman Justin Milne told former managing director Michelle Guthrie to sack high-profile presenter Emma Alberici following a complaint from then-prime minister Malcolm Turnbull.
(I guess this is what happened to Lateline, which I used to enjoy watching)
