I used to love Crunchies. I think because of the bitter-sweet taste of the 'honeycomb'. It is extremely easy to make if you can put up with the sugar hit sensation from eating too much sugar LOL

I was scouting through my recipe books yesterday looking for a porcupine recipe and came across this Banana Bread recipe I copied from a post from CW Koolcowqueen back in 2006 She was the Lady who lived in Tamworth and her daughter had leukemia. The recipe has 2 bananas but I wanted to double the recipe and only had the 2 nanna's but I had a large mango - soo I made a double recipe with the nanna's and the mango mixed together and it is yummy - I wanted one for the neighbour's daughters who are here for their Mum. The recipe sounds like you could have 2 slices and still be slim BANANA BREAD3/4 cup brown sugar 6 Tablespoons vegetable oil 2 large egg whites 1 large egg 2 ripe bananas (mashed) 1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup skim milk 2 cups sifted SR Flour 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Preheat oven to 180deg (fan forced 170 deg) Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl beat well. Combine mashed banana, oats, and skim milk to the sugar mixture beat well. Add sifted flour and cinnamon mix well - place mixture in a loaf pan lined with baking paper - or sprayed - bake 1hr or until wooden skewer come out clean.

That looks very professional (and tasty) Joono, even down to the lemon cheek.
I like garlic though it does not like me unfortunately but the rest of my family absolutely love garlic prawns and they are usually on order when we go out for dinner.

Lemon cheek That is what I prefer rather than the wedge. Sin won't like this because it has fennel seeds in it but they can easily be left out.

Here you go Kay.
1/3 cup olive oil 20g butter 1 shallot, finely chopped 1/2 tsp chilli flakes 1/2 tsp fennel seeds 1 kg raw banana prawns, peeled, deveined tails intact 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 tsp ground paprika 1 lemon, zest finely grated and juiced 2 tbs chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
I also added 1 sliced fresh red chilli and I used the white part of spring onions rather than the shallot because they didn't have them at the market.
Heat oil and butter in a large heavy frying pan over medium heat. When butter has melted add shallot , chilli flakes and fennel seeds.
Cook stirring often for 2 mins or until shallot softens.
Increase heat to medium-high and stir in the prawns, garlic and paprika and fresh chilli if adding it. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cook stirring often for 3-4 minutes or until prawns are cooked through. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest, 1 tblsp lemon juice and parsley.
Serve with crusty bread (or rice like me).

it's the prawns i object to FIRST, joono, lol! we don't eat anything but canned tuna at home, and curtis gets catfish when he goes out for lunch, occasionally. taryn will like it though, so thank you!

it's ridiculous that i detest seafood of any kind, considering i grew up making extra candy money by digging clams, harvesting mussels, and working on my my da's various "hobby" boats. i pulled lobster pots, winched in nets full of fish, dredged oysters, you name it. can't stand any of it, lol! my brother loves all of it, sister likes fresh water fish and some shellfish like shrimp, all the grands love it all( which is great, in my eyes) , i'm a loner in the family. i can COOK any of it quite well though.

We had similar surroundings in our youth Sin. I grew up in a Sydney harbour beach area. After dad retired from riding (he was a jockey) he bought a small boat and he fed us and sold seafood from his daily ferreting around the area. At that time Sydney harbour was fairly pristine and we ate a lot of oysters, mussels, octopus and fish. Dad also bottled the oysters and mussels and sold them to the local fish shops. The beach we were on was in a cove and local fishermen would put their nets out and we would help pull them in to the shore. They gave us fish for helping. Boy, that seems so long ago.

i was actually fortunate that my momma didn't much like seafood other than bay scallops, lol! she was a kansas girl, so i grew up eating far more meat than fish. i loved digging clams in particular. tourists would pay me on the spot for a sack of clams, A WHOLE DOLLAR!! that was ALOT of money to a child in the time period, i could make as much as 10 dollars a day. pulling mussels didn't make much, back then only poor folks ate them. but i could trade them to the older shore folks for things like homemade candy and cookie, it was cool. and of course, covering myself in mud and slime at that age was FUN, lol!

There are many benefits from living near water :) On Saturday and Sunday evenings when everyone had left the beach we would walk along the sea wall and scuff the sand looking for small change that fell out of men's trousers. We got a lot of pocket money that way :)

yummo! thiose prawns look delicious Joono last night we went to an Indian restaurant with some very good friends of ours and one of the guys wanted garlic prawns ( which they said they could make up for him) the dish was more like curried prawns though your's looks much better

I want one of those things right now! One of the things I might do is have an RV built near Kansas City.....believe it or not....I want to do a tour of the country in an RV to find some land I'd like to build a log home on...
I like this type of log home layout, only with larger logs that are hand peeled, rather than factory rounded logs....This place just has that "feel to it" that I like...
I'm trying to decide on which is the best type of RV......I do think the best constructed RVs might be by this company...
But their interiors seem to be a bit dated to me...
I like the interiors of this company much better.....
New Horizons....
I have to do more research...
I'll need a heavy truck to pull them....Made by this guy in Canada...
All soz I can get a smoked whisky burger...

my darling cy, you COULD just fly to wichita, rent the apartment next door to me for 3 months, buy a bus from chance and my friends will customize it for you, lol! i figure if they can customize tour busses for ZZ top, they can help you too, eh? :) *p.s., i have a queen size air mattress you can borrow while you live next door, and towels and stuff. you can just eat with us, or at taco shop, or wendy's or i'll show you the bus system. ;) *

Here's the Yorkshire Pud recipe I was given, Sin. Like I said, I have never made it but I'm told it's good.
6 heaped tablespoons of plain flour 6 fl ozs milk 6 fl ozs water 2 eggs (at room temperature) pinch of salt
Method
Preheat oven to 200 C (fan forced)
Combine all ingredients together and whisk
Grease a deep metal pan (I'd say like a cup cake pan) preferably with some of the meat juices and place into the oven to heat the fat.
Whisk ingredients for a second time before pouring into the hot pan.
Place on the top shelf of the oven, 20-25 minutes at 200c until risen and bounces back when gently touched.
