Who else watched last night? If it wasn’t for the fact that those numptys are actually making decisions about the way this country is run, it would have been hilarious. They are all quite mad! It’s a strange day when George Christiansen comes out looking like a moderate 😏
I liked the tweet that read something like “FNQueenslanders seem very loud. Must be the long distances” 🤣

yes, we watched it last night Kay. Bob Katter is barking mad. A muslim lady put a very good question to the "non-racist Pauline Hanson and a young man who used to work in a mine and has since become a nurse put a good question about mining Geirge Chistiansen is looking a lot slimmer since he had his lap band surgery overseas and it was kind of interesting to see that not all North Queenslanders are having a love affair with coal oh and I disagree with Labor's stance on crocodiles

Same Ava. I said to himself I don’t want to hear anymore about the spill from now on. It’s worth watching last nights show though, just for pure comedic value 😂

Kater’s body language to the rest of the panel was pretty terrible. He virtually turned his back on them all for the whole time.

Katter is an ignorant loud mouth - aggressive old fart if you don't agree
with him you are nothing.

Sarah Ferguson was great in that interview and stood up to him well, but the interview didn't tell us anything about American politics except that it is happening in our country too. It's all about who is in power and who is control. They don't even care about their own people. A recession happens and the little people can drop off as long as the stock market goes up?
Steve Bannon is pretty much insane.

what they showed on 4corners last night was even more disturbing than last week
people pay a fortune to go into these aged care facilities and they're not being looked after properly.. they're not even safe.
.Low paid workers ($22 ph) who do a 6 week course are not adequate.. they need to hire more properly trained nursing staff and pay them properly
the complaints board is a joke
the owners of these faclities and child care facilites must be raking in an absolute fortune

It was shocking, Deb. The elderly deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Our most vulnerable are consistently let down by bureaucracy.

I was disgusted by those complaints board representatives. Smug and arrogant. Effective accountability and monitoring; proper training [mind you, most people don't need training to be kind and respectful to those in their care]; increased wages and staff to patient ratios. A complete overhaul is needed and is needed right now.

The problem is families are afraid to speak up in fear of what will
happen to their loved ones when they are not with them - when you
see your loved one being treated poorly when you are there it really
is frightening.

i have just watched it, i have known for years that most of the staff are from a particular country and here on whatever visas, they are untrained, underpaid and they don't want to be there....so it is inevitable that there will be abuse
obviously it doesn't matter if you are a pensioner or wealthy, in an ordinary nursing home or in a posh nursing home......the very wealthy can care for their relatives at home but others cannot
i don't intend to be in that position either, only a severe stroke will put me there, no other condition will......i have written a lot of instructions about my future, including about nursing homes, and i will now add that i consent to a camera in my room from day one
now lets see what the govt will do about a royal commission and its recommendations

I think that Morriscum pre-empted 4Corners by issuing a Royal Commission into Aged Care.

i forgot to add that the nursing staff have vetoed compulsory cameras in every room (wonder why), but if the patient and the family agree, i think it should be compulsory....it should be an opt out option
