I don't have one Sin. I meant when I was holding the beaded purse. I do have a couple of old purse frames that I never got around to doing anything with. One looks like brass and the other some other kind of metal. I'd love a celluloid or bakelite one but the urge to make anything out of them has long since passed.

Good finds, ava
Op shops here don't have much in the bric a brac section that's not mass produced.
I got a nice small Pyrex dish (US made) with a fluted edge recently, which would be an older style.

I've reached the stage where I'm downsizing rather than collecting. I have so much stuff in my cupboards that never gets used now.

Penny, I don't even know what I've got in my cupboards
Yesterday at the local oppie I found a bottle of Christian Dior "Dune" for $5.00 , so I had to take that home. I rather like it too

I cleaned out my pantry today and threw out heaps of stuff. Does that count as decluttering?

Sort of ... I donated some pasta and tinned goods from our pantry (unused, still got a long way to go before expiry date). That we were unlikely to use. Newish church run, op shop down the road has a collection basket for food to be given to those in need. It's very near Coles too, so easy to buy an item or two then drop it in there before going to the car.

Great idea Figlet. They used to do food collections occasionally at Curves too. Excellent way to figure out that somethings in your pantry are about 5 years out of code.
I'm going to clean out my kitchen utensils drawer. Exciting I know. How did I collect all that stuff?

Well we had an interesting morning. At about 10.30 we set off on the bikes to go for a coffee. About 3/4 of the way into town my back tyre started to go down. Mr Penny went back home and came back in the car with a pump. He pumped up the tyre and I managed to get about half way home before it went flat again. This time it refused to reinflate so he told me to take the car and he would wheel the bike the rest of the way home. I'd been home about 10 minutes when the neighbour's ute pulled into our drive with Mr P and the bike on board. They had been driving home from town and spotted him trudging along the bike path.

Penny, are you hinting that you are morbidly obese and the tyre suffered as a result?

Any chance of a photo Carmella? I have stopped collecting. I am now downsizing but I do have two matching chamber pots I bought about 50 years ago. No markings so I can't find a history. I have houseplants in them and they have crazed. I guess I didn't respect them enough.

I have 2 of these steins/mugs . but with different pictures on them.
i picked them up once in a box of stuff for 5.00
i had them valued just more so for curiosity. at that time which was 20 years ago they were only worth 20.00 each and i was told they were more used as a display in pubs than being drunk out of.
they are now over 100 years old.
that is not my pic btw.
