Now they have to pick a name...........they were both so sure this child was a boy they never picked a girls name.
It will be an old fashioned name to match their first born.

Yay! I was right, too. I like old fashioned names - though my grandmothers were Ada and Bessie and I don't think I'd want either of those names for one of my kids. Further back there were an Emily, a Charlotte, a Harriet and a Sarah, which are much nicer.

A lovely little girl 💕
There are so many lovely old girls names. Just thinking about friends granddaughters there’s Maybell, Isabelle, Florence (Flossie or Flo which are so cute), Ida, Emilia. So many good choices.
My friends daughter had a boy last night. They haven’t decided on his name yet. It’s down to two choices apparently.

I worked with a lady in her mid 60's whose name was Molly. She was a very lovely, kind lady.

I love the name Molly and I had it booked in case I had a girl. We have children in my extended family with beautiful older names. My niece's name I thought was quite modern but it turns out that in our family tree it has been used a number of times before.

Mamasin.............Isabella was my one of my Great Great grandmothers name.................but it is already taken by one of my nieces' children this generation.
They have a short list of about 20 names so far.
I wonder if our middle grand daughter will like this baby when it is born.
Took her a few months to get past her jealousy.............(remembering she is the "baby" in her part of the family)
It is hard picking names for children..............not one of our four children are known (other than when it is officially necessary) by the names they were born with.

2018 baby names
Charlotte and Oliver are still the two most popular baby names in Australia Seven new boys and five new girls names have entered the top 100 this year Sharon, Kylie, Tracey, Donna, Wayne, Darren and Brett are all extinct now And shorter names like Jack trump the longer versions like Jackson

Well seeing I have been known to call our youngest JimBobJack (not their real names obviously) at times,it’s probably not such a bad idea 😝
