They were showing this on BBC News in the morning. Sorry to see it.
They're saying climate change has exacerbated things and was a large contributor to this happening..

It seems that a once in 100 year events seem to come around every couple of years. Fires and flooding.
At least we now have a government that is taking climate change seriously, unlike the last mob. I heard on the news that some people are going through their fourth flood this year. There is also La Nina too.

It's been teaming rain all night and again today. The Sydney rain has moved to our area.

For a lot of those people in NSW...this is the 4th time this year... A lady was saying they just installed a new kitchen after the last flood..now they're back to square one

Your area is copping it tonight Lyn. We have had rain all night and day. My truck is stuck out in a cotton paddock. It will be a week before it will be dry enough to get it out. By that time it will be Infested by rats looking for a dry spot to camp. Not happy Jan.

Buggers will probably be chewing on the wires as well Clara if they have taken up camp, p*$!ks of things.
I've heard Maitland and Port Stephens LGA's officially declared disaster zones.

Must be even worse getting flooded and having to be evacuated in the winter

All good here now. Threatening water's have mostly subsided and the clean up well underway.
Lovely sunny day yesterday and again today, but extra cool days with a wintery wind.
My Mr has a big birthday today, so out to lunch with son and dil.
