I've been plagued since I can remember, but now it seems to be getting worse.
I decided to take a prescription pill that knocks you out and causes drooling 🤤 . I penciled off 12 hours for committed sleep. It felt like 8 hours were of non stop dreaming. Bad dreaming. Not scary, just bad.
I think this is about the third week now of it being a daily event.
If I thought I could do something to change it, I would. It's my stupid subconscious who seems to be controlling me. Now it seems medication doesn't even work. Ugh. I dread going to sleep later today, but I'm incredibly tired.

Also, I think one of the most problematic aspects of these bad dreams is that they seem so real.
When I dream of a scary monster chasing me, it doesn't seem real and I can stop the dream.
Sometimes I wonder if when we die it will be the "endless sleep", and if we are good we will have endless good dreams. If we are bad they will be nightmares.
I've been good. I am good. I've got a very clean conscience. Squeaky clean karma. I know it's stress and not conscience causing these recent spate of bad dreams.

I have a recurring dream theme. I think I’ve spoken (typed!) about it before. It’s about water inundation. Sometimes it’s violent and destructive and scary, and sometimes it’s slow and gentle. But it’s always about being engulfed in water. It used to worry me, but not any more.

I have a reoccurring water dream as well. But I haven't had it in a long time.
It was usually about driving on a bridge, the same bridge. Water engulfs the bridge. Sometimes I would drive off the bridge and into the water. Some were scary/drowning. Some were fun- driving on water. I learned to control them so I wouldn't be scared or drown.
They stopped (or maybe I don't remember them when I wake up). In 2006 I drove alone to cocoa beach Florida. I went via the 10 to the coastal highway. When I got to saint augustine I saw the bridge. It was eerie. I got chills. It felt surreal. I trembled as I drove the bridge. As soon as I could I asked my mother when I had been there and if anything significant had happened. It was a family vacay and I was about 4 years old. She says nothing happened... but since she was driving with my father by her side... that in itself was probably traumatic.
(They stopped after seeing the bridge, or like I say I don't remember them when I wake up)

I'm going to eat my funky tacos, watch tv, wind down and see what happens.
I walked extra far with the dogs today, thinking extra exercise might make me sleep a bit better.

I didn't have any dreams because I didn't really sleep.
I got a lot of exercise tossing and turning and my eyes got a workout from staring at the clock.

That's not good Dawn. Have you tried a hot chocolate drink last thing - to release endorphins or something that help you sleep.
My 'bad' dreams at the moment seem to be about catching trains and buses to visit someone and ending up somewhere in London but not recognising where I am.

I slept 8 hours!!!
I had one or two dreams but can't remember any details at all, so they couldn't have been bad.

I slept very well today, woke up before the alarm.
I did have a rather long dream about cleaning my fathers kitchen with a carrot. Not classified as bad or sleep disturbing, but I do remember the dream.
I did clean my father's kitchen 17.5 years ago after he died, but not with a carrot. In the dream and in real life, my father had multiple packages/bottles of a product. He would buy something he rarely used like pancake mix and syrup. Then use it once or twice and forget about it. When he had a hankering for pancakes again, he would buy a new box and bottle of syrup.
In the dream there were numerous bottles of tabasco sauce, but my dad never used it in real life. As I'm writing this, I remember he had a menu he liked to show people, he kept it on his "desk". The menu had a typo- tobacco pizza (instead of tabasco). Maybe that's why I incorporated it into my dream. I had forgotten all about it until just now.

I have a lot of bad dreams too.
But not lately.
They do seem so real. I can usually wake myself up, but it doesn't matter, because when I go to sleep again, I continue on with the dream.

I had a weird dream last night. I was back at my old boarding school and organizing a Passion Play. I'd written a script for the narrator, and different scenes were supposed to happen in different places but we'd had no rehearsals, the show was about to start and no-one seemed to know where they were supposed to be. I was very glad to wake up.

We had similar dreams Penny. I wasn't liking the turn a book I'd been reading had taken. I pretty much rewrote the ending and even chose which characters would play the part in the movie. Colin Firth got the leading male role.
I woke up wondering who to cast as the heroine.

My best romantic dreams have Steve Carrell in them but I haven't had one in a long time.
For a while, they were in a series. Very short but happy. First he flirted and asked me for my number. Then he came to pick me up. (At my dads house)(I realize I have a lot of dads house dreams). I never did get to the good stuff- beyond a kiss.
Duffy that's the worst and what I hate. The bad dream picks up again after I wake up and shake it off.
I slept really well for my last sleep. I bought valerian root and tried that. Very sound sleep and no recollection of dreaming at all. It smelled awful and I woke myself up because the smell made its way through my system. I literally woke up (before the alarm again) thinking where is that horrible smell coming from. Ugh. It's me!

lol DW.
I watched true crime before bed last night, and woke up screaming LOL. I don't know why I do it to myself.
My last romantic dream had David Tennant in it. I LOVE him.

I googled him, he's cute.
I've always gone for personality and not looks. I did have a date in my 20s with a GQ model. Not gonna lie, he was cute. A very cute, hot bodied idiot. Really really not smart and couldn't make convo, but who cares about convo when you're drooling.
I had a triple split up shift so I only got to sleep for five hours last sleep. I dreamt I was driving through an old timey city. With horse drawn carriages. All the horses were made of porcelain and designed by a specific artist. Whoever was driving my carriage (faceless man)... I was telling him which design each horse was. (Each piece of this artists artwork is named. It was a horselain dream lol.
It technically was a flotsam dream, it was based on information I had gleaned from a movie, a cartoon, and an article I had read/seen over the weekend.

my BFF was in GQ in the early 80's, because of his family name. it was kind of a clincher for him walking away from the family money, he didn't want to be viewed as an upper class twit, lol! he still has the purple armani suit though,we use it for his zombie apparel.

DW- Tennant is gorgeous and that Scottish accent makes me melt.
If anyone wants to watch a good show with him in it- google Broadchurch. 2 seasons.
My other fave celeb is Roger Federer. Such an all round nice guy. Does ALOT of good wok in Africa opening schools etc. He gives away millions (because he can!)

Tennant was also a DOCTOR. He is my fave doctor. I loved Christopher Eccleston too. I loved the love story of the Doctor and Rose Tyler. (Billie Piper)

I watched both series of Broadchurch. He was so good in both of them. I never really got into Dr Who after the first few seasons.

Season 3 has already been on the ABC, I think. Season 3 is also coming to Netflix au on 20?th April. Won't be anymore though...boo I liked Broadchurch alot. Which girl are you thinking of?... the female detective partner (Olivia Colman)?. She's great. I also like the mother of the boy who died in the first season.. she's now Dr Who?

Hey wow Fig- I didn't realise there was a 3rd season of Broadchurch, yay! will watch it when it comes to Netflix.
Olivia Coleman was who I was talking about, yes- she's in so many shows, I really like her.
And I totally forgot the Mother was the new Doctor!!! I am a bit apprehensive about a female doctor, but I really like her as an actress, so if it had to be anyone, I'm glad it's her.

Could probably catch it on Iview Penny.
The ABC has been playing up for me lately, it's as glitchy as, so I've been missing stuff.

Once a season of a TV series has gone to Netflix may not be on free to air TV anymore?
There are 8 episodes.
It was first shown in April 2017 - UK.
They also put it out on DVD expecting people to buy it, when it's done it's run on TV.
