Good luck with today, Lynnie.
I woke up when the bluekitten left for work and looked at my phone and was sure that it read 9.10am, meaning I had slept through the alarm.. I had an appointment at 10am so flew out of bed [figuratively speaking], got dressed, packed up the cpap machine and mask, fed the cats, made a cup of coffee, then checked my phone. It was only 8.25am. lol.

LOL ava.
I went to an appt at Breast Screen a week early by mistake... The receptioisnt looked at me like I was crazy but the woman who does the screening was in the office and overheard and said I can fit you in now, which was very nice of her. Receptionist looked a bit put out...she'd now have to spend a minute adding me in the schedule, on her computer.
Lyn - hope your physio apt goes well.
joono... that's really bad about the bribes.
Still temps of 30-33 here this week, at least that's muuch better than any near 40. Evenings are cooling down too.

LOL. Figlet, better to be a week early than a week late.
Only a top of 22 expected here today.

I have had 4 visits to a Specialist over the last 7 months (all added via a computer while I am standing there). Apart from the first visit, they have messed up every other date of all other visits.
Luckily when I got the first review visit date I got the lass to write it on a card. When I turned up for my appointment and they told me I was 2 days early and to come back on the correct day, I was able to produce the card as proof they were wrong and I was then asked to wait and was seen about an hour later.
Second visit, they call 2 days before and leave a message confirming the appt. It was wrong and I had to phone and confirm the correct date.
Third visit I got a call confirming the correct date but a day later got an email confirming an incorrect date. Another phone call to correct their error.
Fourth visit I got a call that the doctor was sick and I was given an alternative date 3 weeks in the future. As I was hanging out for the visit for urgent medication changes, I phoned but was told no other available. After a rather polite but firm conversation I was able to get an appointment for the next day.
Reception are all nice young ladies but there seems to be a problem somewhere.

When I went to sleep today I left the door open for the dogs. It was that warm! When I woke up... so so cold I checked my phone and it said it was snowing outside. Got up to look.. no snow. I have yet to find a reliable weather site.

I have yet to find a reliable weather site. I have started using the Wunderground weather app on my phone and iPad. I think it is a world wide one. My niece, whose job is often weather dependent, put me onto it. It can give you an hour by hour forecast that seems fairly accurate.

That's the one I've been using since forever!
My friend uses something, I can't remember what... accuweather maybe? It seems to make her think the worst case scenario. She will tell me we are having an ice storm in 10 days and it ends up being warm and rainy. It also takes a long time to load.

I think weather is unpredictable. Even the radar images are often wrong.
At one time I thought the tv forecasters were lying so they could have golf courses to themselves. 😜

The weather forecasts online (they can update them continually) seem a lot more accurate than weather forecasts (in the newspaper?) years ago.

True, they've come a long way.
Still, nothing in this world is definite other than death. You can't use taxes anymore... I've met people who have never filed their taxes.

I used to think the forecasters lie to to us about ''rain on the way" in summer so we wouldn't water our gardens lol

@ Deb. We took advantage of the cooler weather today to take the bikes out and have brunch at The Dome. I decided to have pancakes with berries and icecream (It's Pancake Day - Shrove Tuesday- today) but I foolishly left Mr Penny to do the ordering while I grabbed a table and what I ended up with was pancakes, with Nutella, maple syrup and icecream with half a banana on top, I think I got my month's sugar hit in one fell swoop and I'm feeing a wee bit bloated and uncomfortable this afternoon.

I have never tasted Nutella, never had a wish to. I am sure it is nice but I consider it is just one thing less I have to give up as I get older LOL. I have never tasted cheesecake either. No pancakes here tonight, OH was cooking and doesn't know how to make them.

You've never had cheesecake?
That's blasphemy!
I'm not a pancake fan. They are okay, but there's better fattening things for me to choose.
Has lyn checked in and I missed it?

haha, I luv baked cheesecake Sin. Don't eat it much though. I don't enjoy cooking like others do, to me it's a chore. (but I can cook porridge, lol) I'm not a bad cook, but not a great one.
Im trying to stay cool-, it's sooo hot out there today. Great lightning show last night. But no rain and it didn't cool down that much.

I'm just waiting for the pest inspector to get here. We have to have a yearly termite inspection, but we only have to have the treatment done every five years. I wish he'd hurry up so I can get out for a bit AND have lunch.
