It's crazy that they sold it with the wrong hoses. Are you going to take them back and see if the makers can send you the right ones? At least the old hoses fit but they are bound to have some wear and tear. I had a split hose on my old dishwasher at the back and I didn't know about it until the floor boards started to swell from being soaked underneath.

they're the right hoses that come with the new dishwasher Joono.. we have our dishwasher further away from the kitchen sink and taps to most... ( if that makes sense, it's the lenght that's the problem). the hoses we had on the old machine, Im pretty sure hubby replaced those at some stage.. so they're not as old as the old machine
our old one started flooding the floor too... but it wasn't the hoses and it wasn't the door seal... when he pulled it out he found it was leaking at the bottom left of the machine (front) and top right.at the back). it could get dangerous if water got nto the electrics.. so we thought we'd better replace it

Our dishwasher developed a really bad smell. We tried everything, wiped it down, cleaned the filters, flushed it through several times empty - nothing worked. Finally I lay flat on the floor and shone a torch underneath it - and discovered a dead mouse.

Ick! I like mice but not dead ones. I'm going to have to bring the birds feeder bowls in at night now because I noticed a rat yesterday under the outdoor table.
I can't believe I did this again. I'm sitting here sweltering even though I've got the air con on, then realised I set it on fan only last night. I don't know how many times I've done that.

There are still good people out there and I think that young people are condemned too easily.
My next house has to have a/c - I'm making a list of requirements. It is very humid today but its not that hot , around 27 degrees.. I slept in and woke up in a cranky mood but the shopping is done and the housework is almost done. Aldi has some nice chocolate with caramel filling.

Haven't read back yet, posting this before I forget...
Kay you can get LP (Cans and a larger bottle) in some Coles stores (usually the bigger stores, which have an International section. The have a bit of British foods, Indian, Dutch etc. That section is mostly snack foods.
You may be able to find some when you're visiting Canberra.

That was so good of that young man to call out to you with your purse... lucky he noticed it, before you were gone.
We had that problem with a dishwasher installation too.. the installation guy even came to our house before the dishwasher was ordered to see what we had, how it was connected. etc.. had to wait weeks for the dishwasher to arrive... he comes to instal it and says... the hose isn't long enough, I don't have a longer one in my van.. I'll order one in.. Waited a week and phoned him and he said I'll come around tomorrow..... had it and didn't even call. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
The new washing machine we got after Christmas the hose is made out of such crappy stuff.. not pliable, like rubber... stiff and had a kink/flat bit in it from day one. Didn't notice it straight away because it was installed by the delivery guys.
It's very hot, with a hot dry wind here.. supposed to be 33deg feels like 40.. When I was out before, dust was blowing everywhere from sites where there are roadworks.. (of which there are many, plus the new tram line works).

Thanks figlet, I’ll look out for it.
That’s a good story about the young man joono. I agree, I think young people are condemned far too often these days. All of the ones I know are great people.

Just a small thing.. a few months ago I bought some fast food from one of the big name stores in the mall (not maccas).. When they gave me, my food.. I asked if they had serviettes.. the staff member at the till, just sort of grunted and pointed over thataway.. Anyway... a young guy who had already purchased some food elsewhere, heard me and came up to me and offered me a serviette.. it was a plush one too:) Which I thought was very nice of him.
It makes me cranky when I hear older women (e.g. staff in op shops) gossiping away and they always seem to get onto ... young people of today... rah rah.. saying bad things about them.

10. "Dogs at Their Heels and Other Evidence of Dissolute Habits" In a speech to the House of Commons on February 28, 1843, Anthony Ashley Cooper, the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury, ranted: ...a fearful multitude of untutored savages... Lol some things never really change Maggie.. The new dishwasher is in and we' ve tested it out... Including the hoses from the old machine.. As gou say Fig, the older ones are of a better quality than the new ones.
Will have to get used to stacking the dishwasher differently. That's my only beef

The handyman has come and gone. The first of his quotes should be ready in a week or two and he can start work in about 5 or 6 weeks. When I handed him the list, he told me that he will be retiring in twenty years time.lol. I told him that he'd better be quick, then.
I replaced my dishwasher last year after it not working for months. I hadn't realised how much time is spent washing dishes by hand. as compared to loading and unloading a dishwasher.

I have been trying to get some of this new chocolate for our eldest son for Easter this year. When he was a little boy he loved it..........and then they stopped making it. I cant get it anywhere...................they keep selling out before I get there. So I decided to have a look on ebay...............Oh my goodness...........they are selling it for crazy prices. Flashie, I had a look in the Coles I shop at today and they did have a spot for this but the shelf was cleaned out. I go to the shops pretty much every day (I've never managed to handle a weekly shop) so I will keep an eye out for it and grab you some if I can. I had never heard of this chocolate before but there was a label on the shelf, so hopefully they will get more in.

Walmart has been out of my tea for three weeks.
It seems like some stores don't use their own sales statistics when stocking their shelves.
I recently noticed one of my companies products had moved to a lesser location in a store so I asked the manager about it. Just a friendly "why'd you move those shelves around?" I was told that they needed to put pastries on the shelf where the product had been, so my companies product had to go next to other pastries at the lesser end of the store. Two competing pastries cannot be near each other, so my companies product must suffer. Basically (naff) Little Debbie rules the store and whatever Little Debbie wants, she gets. Coca Cola is the king, Debbie is queen.

I couldn't even buy Ryvita in my shop for about a year. I had to go to Woolworths or other Coles stores. Also Alfalfa. You can buy alfalfa in every supermarket around the world, but not at Coles Kelmscott. You can't buy Bulla products, you have to buy the Coles version or the watered down Brownes brand.

Happy Saturday everyone. I am having a lazy day. I will watch the Fed cup and cheer our girls on (Laney and I are mad tennis fans) and tape the Olympic Games to watch later.
Joono, we also have to go between stores to get items we always were able to get at one store and we are in the middle of Sydney. I think it is a sign of the times (but not very convenient). This has been happening here since Aldi and Costco become more of a force and the major stores are lowering their prices, therefore saving money by not stocking less popular items with a short shelf life or few sales.

I knew hubby was up to something.
He is not very good keeping secrets from me.
We are off for the weekend.
He bought us a weekend away at Wineglass Bay and the boat cruise.
See you all Tuesday.

Sin, my tea is premade. I've tried making it at home but I can't get it to taste exactly right.
I went to dollar tree and bought a heap load of it in smaller bottles.
