I need to organise all of that, too. I've never had a Will. For many years, a Will would have made it easier for me to take my own life but it has been many, many years since I was last suicidal so I think that it is safe for me to get one drawn up. [Did that make any sense?] It's straightfoward. I think its probably more important that I get a POA sorted out because I think that that will be needed first.
Deb, that is a great idea. I intend to sit outside this afternoon and just breathe.

The vet rang this morning to ask if I wanted another bengal. An elderly client surrendered her two year old bengal because she could no longer care for him. I would have loved to have taken him but it would be too much for me to take on. I gave the vet contact details for a those who specialise in the rehoming of bengal cats so hopefully they will be able to help. The vet said to me,"They are chatty cats, aren't they?" In the background, I could hear the sound of an unimpressed bengal, giving everyone a piece of his mind. LOL.

Oh I wish I could have him Ava. I promised myself after Fishbait died that there will be no more cats for me. They are beautiful creatures.
I just lost my power. I cannot believe I forgot about this but I got a letter from Western Power about a week ago saying that our power would be turned off today between 8 am and 4 pm for network maintenance. It just went off but it was 10am. Lucky I've got a dongle for wifi but I've only got a few hours worth of battery life in my laptop. Can't go anywhere. If I had remembered I would have already opened the garage door, but my son can get it open for me when he finally gets up.

I think joz has been talking to people in my town. something weird happened today. My bestie and i went for coffee after that we decided to go and have a look in the gift shop.
anyway on our way back from there, we were walking past another shop which sells clothes and gifts. and the woman in there starts yelling at us.
then she comes out of the store and and ask's us why don't you spend your money in here, why do you go down there. isn't my shop good enough.
honestly i couldn't believe it.
So we politely told her that we will spend our money where we want and we don't appreciate being dictated too
and we walked off.

That makes it hard AVA, you so want to help but you know you can't take the poor thing in.
We have 5 cats and when we had 4 i didn't want anymore but MR. 5 who has chosen his own name puss , as he just point blank refuses to come to anything other name we had called him. decided to adopt us, he was in need of TLC badly.
I being too soft hearted let him stay i could of taken him to the pound but i know what goes on there. Chances of him being rehomed were like winning lotto.
He is such a smoochy cat. he has sight problems and he has hardly any teeth. who could resist that.

we won't pepe, i honestly couldn't believe it . TBH i hardly go in there anyway, because 1 i don't like the clothes and their gifts are pretty much the same as what you can buy in town 30 kms away but cheaper.
i love the other gift shop mainly because they have at times some really quirky gifts. i know they have issues with the other gift shop but geez this is a small town and word does spread like wildfire.

what the??? how weird was that woman from the shop. she can't dictate to people where they should shop
Carmella you and I are similar ,.. but I'm not allowed to have any more animals.. so I just do my best to find homes for strays now
AC, I'm sure someone will have a home for that bengal... it was probably too much maintenance for the elderly person.. glad you're feeling better today

I would love a cat but OH is allergic to them. We had dogs (Shelties) but the end part of dog ownership broke my heart and I couldn't bring myself to get any more and now it is too late.
That shop lady is either crazy or terribly scared because her business is going down the drain and she doesn't know how to fix it. Yelling at passers by certainly won't help her cause.

IMO the whole town is going down.
here because they don't like competition, they will buy out another shop We did have at least 6 places where you could go and have coffee.
now we are down to 2.
The crazy lady has issues with the gift shop.
it's kinda like how the jozo's have issues with us.
1 of them i don't go there because all the woman does it gossip. and what she doesn't know ain't worth knowing.

All my family said to me that I would not last a year without a cat when Maggie died.
But I did.
We had so many pets when the kids were growing up.
I am happy to just have Indie for now................we know there will come a time when we have to rehome her..................but not at the moment.
She had her health check and wings clipped today.
Last time we took her he told us we should be able to train her ourselves to clip her wings and nails.
Yeah right..............how the heck do you make her do that.
It took two of us and about 15 peanuts just to get her in the cage to go to the vets.
She is a noisy bird at the best of times...............but she takes it to a whole other level when she knows she is off to the vets.
Thank goodness it is only usually twice a year.

Yay! Power back on. It came on at 6:20 so a bit longer than they thought. Shock horror, I actually found my oldest son reading a book.
Flashie, how long do these parrots live? I'm wondering why you will have to rehome her. I don't think I could ever not have a dog. when we were out walking the other day I met a lady with two West Highland Terriers and that will be my old age dog. I might have to win lotto first.

Dawn, the lady only sold clothes, she was there first. then about 12 months ago the gift shop opened.
so the one who sold clothes then went into selling gifts as well.
and the war started.

Whenever a month goes by without a power outage, when I pay my bill I tell them they are doing a great job. I let them know that without electricity I would be miserable and that I appreciate them. I think that they must put up with a lot of angry customers.... but I do defend myself. When I didn't have power for several hours I told them I refuse to pay for those lost hours (lol).

I was unofficially elected to go buy food the other night at work. I waited 18 minutes at the drive through. The same girl who took my order, took the money and handed me the food. I acknowledged to her that she was doing the work of 3 people and I could see 10 angry customers behind me. I told her she was doing a great job and that I hope no one treats her in an angry way.
She said yes ma'am. Gave me a weird look. It's almost like people are confused and don't expect you to be nice.

This is true. I'm always happy and chatty with the checkout people at the shops and now I suspect it puts me in the crazy lady category.

Our town is dying for shopping too carmella. There are about 6 empty now and it’s just dead. We try to support local businesses but it’s hard when online is so easy and cheaper. Your gift shop lady wouldn’t be making it any easier LOL
We had a weirdo on the beach yesterday taking photos of people, especially kids. Both my DiL and I told him, in no uncertain terms, to clear off. We were both in angry mother tiger attack mode LOL. Apparently she had a lot of trouble when they were on holiday at Palm Cove as well, with people taking photos of the kids without permission. Bloody creeps ðŸ˜

Good morning everyone!
Hot and muggy here, typical February weather so no surprise. I have been watching the winter Olympics, so many heart wrenching stories of the athletes. It all certainly has my emotions going up and down LOL.
How did your frozen food survive Joono?
Sin, I am always a bit firm with new employees and when they find out I am a bit of a softy inside, we have at lease set the boundaries and they know not to try to fudge their work.

People are strange. Its no wonder that that shop owner's business is failing with an attitude like that. I was in the main shopping centre last year to do some xmas shopping. I don't often go there and there are a lot of new shops. I wandered around one giftshop and was followed around by the shop owner who wanted to tell me her life story. She was all happy until I only wanted to buy some gift tags. Then, she looked at me and said," Is that all you're going to buy?" I said, "Yes", handed her the money, wished her a happy xmas and left. You don't pester your customers like she did. She was very entertaining, though, and burst into song a lot but if you aren't selling what I want , I am not going buy stuff just because you want to play "besties".
Eww at the creepy photographer. Who was that creep on CW who got into trouble for taking photos of kids at beaches ? Koala something.
