I won these today for 40.00
Are they worth anything?
What can I do with them.

You could try clutching them during the election coverage.
Are they real pears, Flashie? The ones on the right look quite old.

I think they are Joono......the description said strands of pearls.
But...............our DIL used to work in a Jewellers.............and she said she is 99% sure the white ones are fake.
Hubby is picking them up on his way home from work today.
Fingers crossed I can do something with them.
Otherwise.........the grand daughters will have some lovely dress up jewellery

The white ones look like some my mother had (not real) she wore them a lot. She did have some real pearl necklaces but a lot had the strings worn out and never fixed. I have those.

there look to be four or five strands in that lot, hope some are good quality

l like the box . most i found over the years are paste . the darker ones have that look about them, hard to tell really . some paste ones have decent sterling clasps .i wonder if the string in the plastic bag is good or the string is broken .

leather or card box ? the paper lining looks hand done .. 19th century . might be something , a lot doesn't survive . i lost a few due to water damage as one of these sheds leaks through it's new roof .

Madara...................the little box is 12cm x 7cm and looks all leather inside and out.
The pearls...............well ..............they appear to all be fake.
I guess that is a price you pay when bidding in online auctions.
I do like the box though.

With pearls.. all the experts say to bite them and if they feel "grainy" they are real.... I've never tried it though.
