There are probably going to be lots of violent riots tonight as a result as well (DHS warning of it). It's just sad all round.

I find it odd that the supreme court judges would do this at a time when children are being shot dead in schools... you would think they had other priorities

Bean, I'm right there with you. Not only am I angry, but extremely sad that it's come to this. It's going to take forever to get this straightened out. I'm so thankful that I live in a blue state, where my rights are not going to be taken away from me.

The end of Roe is just the beginning for the Christian Nationalist’s wet dream of theocratic rule, power, and control. As suggested by Justice Thomas in his concurrence, decisions protecting contraception, marriage equality, and basic LGBTQ rights may be the next targets.
The ‘forced birth’ crowd cares more about a life that doesn’t exist yet - and their policy positions reflect it. They tend to oppose legislation that would help people without resources.
It will be interesting to see the political repercussions when ‘babies’ are forced to be born into a society that has neither the desire nor the capacity to support them.

They were even talking about a Federal anti-abortion bill, some Republicans, I'm pretty sure that's their agenda. But yeah Clarence wants to ban everything "taboo" except for interracial marriage - purely because his wife is white.
Answer me how fucked up is that?

So many people really don't believe it could happen in the United States. How wrong they are. The women in Iran when the Shah was in power, who were allowed to work and dress in Western clothing, never dreamed they would see the day when they would be forced back into burkas, not allowed to work and forced to live their lives at the mercy of men. It could happen here in the U.S. so easily if these fundamentalist nutcases get more power.
