We’re due to fly Canberra-Townsville in about 2 weeks time.
I don’t think it’s going to happen 😢, especially with this positive case in Goulburn.
I know of at least 2 couples from here who were due to go to Qld later this week but have already left so they don’t get caught if the border closes

The way things are going, I'm even worried about my trip to Sydney in November. It has already been deferred twice.

I believe it’s all deferrable penny. But it is supposed to be celebrating our 40th anniversary so I’ll be a bit sad if we have to go at some other time.

I really hope Melbourne stays under control too. My son is supposed to be making a quick visit late in August for a wedding.
Perth too. We are fully open post lockdown but I'm always on edge that someone will bring it back here. Fingers crossed for you Kay.

Still hanging in there, although this is pretty worrying. Bloody idiots! A group of Sydney teenagers have been busted staying at a holiday home on the NSW south coast, where they met during the university holidays.

I’ve said quite a few times, if nothing else the past 18 months have taught me to be much more accepting of things I can’t change. I don’t sweat the small stuff nearly as much as I used to.
But I am bloody furious to read that John Barilaro’s (NSW Deputy Premier!) daughter has been caught breaking the lockdown and travelling from Queanbeyan to Sydney and back 🤬😡🤬

We’ve been slowly cancelling or deferring all our bookings. We’re not going to lose any money but some of it is going to be caught up in credits.
We heard a rumour that the border restriction to regional NSW might change this week but it appears not to be true.
I’m trying to be positive but it’s just so disappointing.
We received an invitation today to my nieces wedding in NZ in January - here’s hoping 🤞

Hopefully the % of vaccinated persons is a lot higher by then too.
